The bottom dont cool

check for ice on the back of wall in freezer section. check to make sure fan motor in freezer turning, if ice on wall you have a defrost problem. bad defrost control or bimetal which is located in freezer section. Check with a ohms meter. should get ohms areading if closed when cold. Last would be a bad defrost heater but rare. Also make sure air returns not block with ice. If so , could be a stop up defrost drain.

The freezer needs to be defrosted. Take everything out and put it in an icechest with some cold packs, and let the freezer sit open and off to allow the ice to thaw, use a pot or something to take the chunks of ice out and put in. Try not to get your floor too wet, but when too much ice builds up, the cooler cannot cool down the air, and the freezer is only staying cold because the ice is there, but the ice will melt since it has no way to stay cold enough to be below 32 degrees without the cooling unit to keep the temperature low.

The refigerator does not get cold. Long term ice forms in Freezer blocking through holes. When first pugged in seems to circulate air to refrigerator

The drain at the bottom of the freezer under the coils is clogged. Remove Icemaker if you have one, remove bottom floor of freezer, remove back panel of freezer. Use hairdryer to melt ice. ALL ICE MUST BE REMOVED. Use hot water and a turkey baster to get ice out of drain hole located about middle under coils. Be patient, do not chip ice with sharp tool. After ice is removed pour hot water down drain hole. Water must come out in drain pan under refrigerator(you may have to take front grille off to get to pan)

If Ice returns after a few weeks, you need to look at defrost thermostat which is usually clipped on cold coil at back of freezer. This part or the defrost timer could be defective.

My Amana BR22V1W Refrigerator compartment 65 degrees F but freezer compartment normal. We just bought a lot more groceries and now both the freezer and frig compartments are quite packed. I don't see any...

Sounds to me like the opening between the freezer and fridge section might be partially blocked!! you get your cold air for the fridge section FROM the freezer side and the thermostat that controls the fridge side might not be opening the door enough,it might be clogged with ice or even not working because of the thermostat setting is not opening the door enough.

FREEZER HAS ICE BUILD UP AND FRIDGE WON'T STAY COLD. ? what causes this and can i fix it?

Bad news, it appears unit is short on gas leak,,,,,Because of this the temp. sensing device over reacts causing the frig to constantly run,,,,also poor door seals do not help,,,,due to costing of repair its better to replace the unit. Water thing bit of a mystery,,,,,could be blocked defrost drain,,,,refrig section of cooler section and just below this is a small drain hole of some description, get a tube or straw and blow down this to clear blockage,,,,,difficult without seeing but hope to be of help,,,,,,,,,,,,,Barry

I have a Roper RT21LMXKQ00 Freezer wont freeze

The problem is a defrost problem. The freezer coil has frost on it and thus restricts the cold air from flowing. This affects the refrigerator as it gets its cold air from the freezer. The ice will not make if the temperature is above 12*F and this also is why ice cream is like mush.

Refridgerator Not Cooling

If top is compleatly warm it is probley the fan motor, lot of failures on them. Replacement one will be a different looking motor. Verify motor is not turning, located in the back of the freezer in the top middle, behind small grill. Will see fan blade pointed up, should run whenever compressor is on.

Freezer works fine but the fridge won't get cold

It sounds like cold air from the freezer isn't making it to the fridge compartment. This can be cause by a several things. The damper that lets air into the fresh food side is stuck in "closed" position, the temp sensor (t-stat) isn't working properly, the evaporator fan (in the freezer comp above the coils) isn't working to blow air up to the fresh food section. In some situations, the defrost cycle for the freezer section isn't working and the coils have frozen into a block of ice and air can't flow over them properly so you get not cold air to the fresh food section but the freezer still stays cold due to the block of ice.
