My Philips 20PT633 has started shutting off mid program.

Consult your technician there is a semiconductor problem inside your tv. Probably lose connection, and need to resolder.

Sony kv35s66: No picture, just sound and red blinking

This should be a quick fix. Try resoldering the vertical IC. This is a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 11 pins. It should be marked LA7837 or something similar. That should resolve the problem.

Keep us posted.

Set up menu

Check to see if something was spilled on the screen of this set
or using too much cleaning solution.
As it will run down on to the tac switches and create problems with the cpu.
Thanks guy

Menu,sound problems

First thing is try to take out the batteries out of the remote control Then if the problem persist, unplug the set for a couple of hours if not over night. If that dosent work then check to see if any of the front panel buttons may be stuk .. If all of this was checked its time to call in a repairman as you have a microprocessor circuit or EEPROM fault or the five volts going to the reset is too low. Good Luck

TV Black-out

a tap on the side tells me that it's a solder connection broken loose, most likely in the horizontal section. if you have experience with electronic soldering, you can fix it, otherwise take it to somebody that can fix it. thermal expansion and contraction(from turning the set on and off) eventually produces metal fatigue in solder connections, and the connection breaks loose, just enough that it sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't.
