Sandisk card reader wont detect my sandisk card.

Hello,
This problem arises because your USB is not recognized by your computer. This issue can be solved by following the steps given below.

SOLUTIONS:
  1. Use the Device Manager to scan for new and recently installed hardware. From the start menu, select the 'Run' option. In the pop up box, type in Devmgmt.msc and then click 'Ok'. From the 'Action' Mmnu, click 'scan for hardware changes'. This will make Windows recognize any new devices that are installed. Now, close all device managers and control panels. Now see if your computer will read the USB device.
If the above method doesnt work, then try the following,

Disable power management of the USB hub. To disable the power management,

1.Click Start, and then click Run
2.Type devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
3.Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers' node, and then follow these steps for each USB Root Hub that is listed:
4.Right-click the USB Root Hub and then click Properties.
5. Click the Power Management tab.
6. Click to clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box, and then click OK.

PS: If you perform the following procedure on a laptop computer, you may reduce the battery life.

In Windows XP, click start-run and type devmgmt.msc, then hit enter on your keyboard (if you're running Vista. go to the start button, and type in devmgmt.msc on the Start Search field and hit enter on your keyboard).
The Device Manager window will open next, click the "+" sign to expand the "Sound, Video and game controllers" section. Here you will find the name of your sound card. You can also right ciick the name of your card that shows up, and choose properties for more info on the sound card installed on your system.
