Question about Samsung DouCam VP-D5000i Mini DV Digital Camcorder
i have a problem with panasonic NV-GS50 mini camcoder. When LCD is closed I can see trough viewfinder, but no image on LCD.When open LCD both images dissapear. When ypu turned LCD on 180 degrees and close it(like watching tape in VCR mode),there is still no image on LCD,but viewfinder image is blinking.I have bought on ebay the same model in bits and pieces, seller sad that his camera had a mecanical issue(chewing tape) and other parts are good, but I do not know what I need to replace.I have tried spare LCD screen, but there was no image on both LCD and viewfinder in any LCD position.I have stacked
It was my question and I have found an answer. The problem was,due to faulty main PCB,which did not supply power to LCD backlight. I was lucky enough to find same faulty model on eBay,sold for spares (around $15 for the lot).I have also purchased a service manual for $10,just to see,how to disassemble a unit.It was pretty easy, not a rocket science.Any new replacement part usually very expensive, not saing about repair in repair shop. Will cost fortune. My advice: try to find similar not working unit on ebay, just figure out what was wrong,as there is no point to get unit with the same fault. The camera I have bought for parts had a mechanical problem, chewing tape.
