After inserting the sim card you need to restart your tomtom to make the X go away! At least that’s what they say on the tomtom web site!

I took to batt out to change a sim card. when i

Check that the SIM card is properly seated and locked down. Also clean the contacts of the SIM and the unit with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and carefully re-assemble.

Nokia 6131 Voicemail symbol but no voicemail!

The solution is to take your sim card out of the phone, insert another sim card and switch on. After a few minutes remove this sim card and re-insert your original sim card. The voicemail symbol will now be removed.

The phone stops switching on.Stopped switching off.can not recognise sim card

the sim card may be in the wrong way , look carefully at that
but if the phone is having problems starting up or working correctly you should take it back for another one , also these phones have been having problems with the screen comming on , so there is some problems with some of these phones
