Re: ipod compatible clarion.

If theres a spot in the front or the back that looks like headphone slot go to like walmart and look in the section that has music and look for like a double ended headphone wire. its the end that you plug into the ipod

I have a clarion cy358 car audio system. it has CD am/FM. I wanna know whether what format is compatible with this CD player? Can I play mp3? it doesnt show any mp3 icon on the interface.

it only need to indicate WMA or MP3 when its playing in that format. depending on how old the head unit is... most head units sold after the new ISO-9001 Standards need to display any and all specs try burning a data copy first to see if the head unit can search through the folders... if it wont search or do anything at all... its .wave (cd) if the display reads unsupported format and continues to does play mp3/wma to get the mp3/wma files to play, change the settings in the burner program. (try default settings) ..... it takes time to render a nice mp3 disc from scratch, one its working, its really rewarding... 18-20 songs just isnt enough anymore.... try to use 320kbps mp3's as much as you can... anything lower will make ant car stereo sound like a 10 dollar alarm clock... keep the bit-rate high when it comes to music... your ears will last longer too...

Need code for car stereo

Cheapest way is to go to the dealer from whom you bought the car. Alternatively check a Peugeot agent. Will not cost you much. You will not get this sorted over the internet I'm afraid.

I want to buy a new cd for my car

it depends. There are many options. You can a deck with an ipod connector, USB port, mp3, bluetooth there are so many things now. Generally if you buy a deck with ipod conection it will have mp3 too. Pioneer makes a good deck for ipod and wont kill your pocket book. Clarion makes a great deck with a usb port ipod conector mp3 and all the bells and whistles for around 250. It just depends on what you want. But i would get a pioneer, alpine or clarion. I have had great luck with those.

Cd changer

You can use any CD changer that has an FM modulater. You would listen to it by tuning in to a station on your tuner.

The sales person at any place that sells car stereos would be able to show you the right type of changer.

If your radio has a cd changer controller built into it, you need to check with the dealership to find out what the OEM changer would be. But a FM modulator will work with any car stereo.

Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Clarion, Alpine all sell FM modulator CD changers. I would not personally buy any of the cheaper no name brands. The money you save on the cost is not worth the difference in quality. Panasonic is a very good brand for car stereos but not home stereos, but I don't know if they make CD changers. if they do, that would be a good brand.

Clarion CMD5 Marine problems

Adjust the tilt mechanism normally on the sides make sure they are in the correct position... They may be behind the mounts.

As for the Ipod check the connections, but try plugging the Ipod in as some leads only work when fully connected.
