Question about Memory Cards & USB Flash Drives
I've got a verbatim flash drive. I plugged it in to my laptop and the laptop got pushed up against the wall and bent the flash drive. I can't retrieve any data that I've saved on it. Is there a way to recover the data?
Sounds like you broke something ;)
If your computer does not recognize anything when you plug it into the computer, your problem is most likely a broken contact inside the usb drive.
You should attempt to open the drive, and see if one of the four contacts on the inside of hte usb key are no longer making their way to the circuit board, and try to reconnect it.
IF you can push the connectors down with your fingers and make contact temporarily, and the computer recognizes it, try to just hold it there while you copy all your data off. Then throw away the flash drive.
