My Address book disappeared but my phone still recognizes numbers and gives me the ID of the caller, plus the phone shows me having 64 contact but the address book says it is empty. Not sure what to do.

same problem, addresses/numbers in address book deleted, but when someone calls their name comes up as being recognized. can't resave or edit those contacts anymore, either.

Guys, I have the same issue. My address book had around 100 contacts but now only 8 show up. However, when someone calls the their name shows. Not sure what the issue is.

Did you delete any of your Categories? Did you perhaps set a Filter then delete that Category leaving the Filter on but no contacts set with that Filter anymore?

Hey guys, I think I figured it out. My girlfriend was having the same problem. I didn't have any filters to uncheck, so I created a filter called "Contacts", which was checked by default. I un-checked it and now I see everything! Yipee!

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

the email function is tied to your address book, if you do not have the address book filled out with email addresses, or have emailed that person from the tablet before they will not show up in the FAYT address box

Address book

open your 'empty' address book and click on the MENU button (left of the rotater wheel) and select FILTER and UNCHECK anything that is checked there. All your addresses should reappear. It happened to me and I have no idea how it happened, but it was a relief to get them all back so easily. Hope that works.

How to transfer my black berry address to my new iphone

Hi Here are the steps

1) Load up Blackberry Desktop Manager 2) Click "Synchronize" 3) Click the "Configuration" tab at the top of the screen. 4) Click the "Configure Synch" button 5) Click on "Address Book". 6) If it doesn't take you to configuration automatically, click "Setup" 7) Select "Microsoft Outlook Express". 8) Select "One way sync from Device" and "Replace all data in the target application 9) Click "Use existing Main Identity 10) Click "Finish" - this should bring you back to "Select Device Application" where it should show you something like Address Book ---> Microsoft Outlook Express 11) Click "Ok" 12) Click on the "Synchronize" tab at the top. 13) Click "Synchronize now". It should go through a whole bunch of screens, eventually showing a confirmation dialog to confirm address book edits. 14) Click "Accept" 15) Your contacts should now be in Outlook Express. 16) Close BB Desktop Manager 17) Open iTunes if you don't have it open already. 19) Go to your iPhone's setup page in iTunes (click on the iPhone along the side menu) 20) Click on the "Info" tab 21) Under "Contacts", check the "Sync contacts with" checkbox, and select "Windows Address Book". "All contacts" should be automatically selected. 22) Click "Apply" at the bottom of the page. It should save your changes, and automatically sync your contacts. The following steps is only necessary if you don't intend to keep your iPhone synched with Outlook Express's address book (which I imagine is the case for most people). 23) Uncheck the "Sync contacts with" checkbox. 24) Click "Apply" at the bottom of the page

This shoulds help and please do let me know if your issue is solved

Address book won't show contacts

Go into your Address book
Hit the Menu Button
Go to Filter
Make sure that both the business and personal box's are NOT checked
If they are checked you need to uncheck them
This should restore your contacts... If it does not restore them then you have a Bigger Issue!!!

Hi, from the sounds of your situation, im sorry to tell you that your address book is gone. If you have hotsync with your desktop before, you may be able to retrieve a copy of your address book from your last sync. Otherwise there are companies available to recover data from pdas but their services are very expensive.

How do I copy address book and calendar from Tungsten E to Outlook?

In order to synchronize with Outlook you need to setup the replication to be with Outlook instead of Palm Desktop. On you cd there should be a third party piece of software (Chapura). Install the required software and follow the instructions.

Synch question

If you have PocketMirror from Chapura (included with certain Palm handhelds), you can choose to install conduits that synchronize MS Outlook with the handheld applications Date Book, Address Book, To Do List, and Memo Pad. You can choose to synchronize these applications with either Palm Desktop or Microsoft Outlook, but not both. If you want to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook, DO NOT install Palm Desktop from the Web. Instead, run the Palm Desktop installer from the CD that came with your handheld and select the option "Synchronize with Microsoft Outlook" when the choice appears. Visit www.PocketMirror.com for more information about Chapura(R) PocketMirror.
