Yes, it is possible to be the problem. Most of the time you would replace the whole fixing unit, it could also be the paper feed rollers in the paper tray or the manual feed tray. Good Luck

My CLX 3175FN printer continues to have a paper jam. Right now I cannot print any paper size without it jamming. What can I do to correct this problem?

Paper jams

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers. The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease. If you plan to keep your printer,

Replace the pick-up and feed rollers.

Metal Tab Separation- Pull out your paper tray and examine either end where the paper sits in. If any of the corners are held down by metal tabs, this is your paper feed system. Chances are, you only have one rubber roller or one set of rollers arranged along side of each other. Reach in where the tray goes and feel up. You should feel some rollers. They might be completely round, or they might be shaped like a half moon. Clean whichever part of them you can with the solution, and this should stop your paper jams. It might be necessary to turn them, but don't force them if they don't move freely.

Pickup Roller and Separation Pad-

If your printer uses this paper feed system, you should see a small piece of flat or slightly curved rubber or cork. It would be towards the end of the paper tray, or deep inside the paper loading cavity on top loaders. This 'separation pad' rubs against the paper feed roller, so if you find the pad, you've found the roller. Clean it and your jams should stop.

Three Roller Paper Separation System- Pull your paper tray out, and look for a roller on either end of it. If you find one, clean it. Then look inside the printer where that roller would rest with the paper tray inserted. You'll find another paper roller there. Clean this one also. Finally, look further back or closer to the front of your printer (depending on which way your paper feeds) to find another roller or set of rollers. Clean all of these, and your paper jams will go away

Start a print from tray 1/manual feed and just as the trailing edge of paper is entering the machine; quickly open it to stop print and take out the cartridge and look at the drum and the paper underneath. If the issue is there at that point then it would point to the cartridge. If not then it is in the fuser area.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Canon IR3530 jamming

Hi, lets go from begining:
1) Remove rollers from lower cass, and put them on first cass. Use fresh paper too. - Does it helps? try abaut 50 copies. If helps replace rollers.
FB6-3405 x1, FC6-6661 X1, FC6-7083 X1
2) when you open right lower door and right door you will be able to see axis with two small rollers.Clean it verry well, use alcohol.
3) On lower right door there must be metal plate for pressure on delivery roller, if there is no plate, put in each corner some tape or filc 2-3mm thick, wich will add pressure on plastic paper cover wich guides paper on delivery roller.
4) Does your jamed paper have any anomalities on itself, like: look like accordian, small wrinkles,...
If yes, check separation plate on fixing unit, pressure of rollers ( between fixing film and press. roller - NIP CHECK ).
5) Beaneath drum you will see small plastic sensor flapper - is he worn out? This is paper registration sensor, if he get in first position before the paper pass him you will get jam code.

Try to flip paper in cassete, up side down, and try then. If then works, the problem is in moisture on paper.

Hope that helped

Blur about one inch from trail edge 2270

Do you hear any kind of a thump thump noise when the machine is running? These machines flat spot the fuser rollers easily and this will cause a blur line towards the trail edge of the copy. This is because the trail edge of the paper is still having toner applied to it when the paper is going thru the fuser. When the flat spot "lops" over itself it puts a quick yank on the paper and creates the blur. If you are hearing any kind of thumping noise this is the cause and you will need a service person out to replace the pressure roller in the fuser.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Ruppled printed paper cannot exit output tray

you need do follow steps:
1) check fuser unit, the fuser hot roller is hot or not? if not the fuser heater fail.
2) check hot roller should spin with the pressure roller which is against hot roller, and check there is no gap between them, and also nothing pieces paper obstruct there, because if it losts pressure balance that jam should be occured there.
3) check the output roller after fuser unit(if there is), check them are spin or not, this roller kit use for pull the paper goes out the tray. if not spin means the roller drive belt or gear loosen.
3) check paper sensor that is micro swtch around pulling roller or output area and to clean it (could be a optical sensor).
hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question

Paper curl

Paper Curl. Does the paper have a curl on the trail edge? (The last part of the paper to exit the printer)

If it is the entire paper replacement of the fuser will likely resolve this.
If the paper curl is on the trail edge then replacement of the upper delivery roller should be done.

ERROR: Paper Output Jam

HI i just recently 5 min ago fixed this problem.....I tried for days. Most likely something like in my case a small bobby pin fell in the back tray and went into the machine. Some people turn the machine upside down and shake it to get whatever it is out.. nothing fell out of mine when i tried this.. I had to take off the left side of the machine panel ,,,2 screwss in the back and pry down and outward there are 2 screws in the front as well under the silver corner push downward on edge.
I held a piece of paper in front of the front roller and revese fed it into the machine by turning the exposed "wheel " on the left side. You have to guide it through lift up top to see in there as the paper goes under the white rollers. At this point the paper may jam so look inside top at the white rollers about an inch from the right there is a small rectangle shaped hole in there is a black plastic part that part needs to be lifted with a paperclip so the paer can be feed under it,,,,at that point is when the paper i was reversing pushed out a bobby mine works great again......main thing here is there mostlikley is something clogged in there,,blocking the paper.........also check you paper that gets stuck my paper kept having a bend in it where it jammed and thats where the pin was in there.
