HP (Hewlett-Packard): F1, F2 (Laptop, ESC)

IBM: F1

Yahoo messenger standalone won't install

Is this the first time installing it on your computer?

If not, Have you tried deleting cookies, temporary files, and everything in temp folder? Remove any folders or files of Yahoo Messenger and try again.

If this is the first time, or if that didn't work, maybe try shutting off your firewall before you install it.

hope this helps!

Yahoo messenger will not open worked earlier today unable to open or access chat rooms

uninstall ym Reboot your computer. 2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard. This will bring up the Windows Security window. Click the "Task Manager" button and then click the "Task Manager" tab. 3. You will see a list of files/applications. These are the applications running in the background on your system, whether they show on your taskbar or not. Any one of these applications could be causing a conflict with the Yahoo! Messenger installation. 4. Click the top item on the list to highlight it. Then hold the "Shift" key down and click the last item on the list. This should highlight the whole list. 5. Click the "End Task" button. This will temporarily close all background applications on your system. 6. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the Task Manager window. 7. Install Yahoo! Messenger. You should not experience the same issue that you had before. 8. After Yahoo! Messenger is installed, run registry cleaner reg in out also reboot your system. All other background applications will return to their original configurations.

It's taking forever -several minutes-to open my Yahoo E-mail account. Does my computer have a virus? I can't access other websites, also. Please help!! It is a Dell Windows computer. I don't know any more...

Do a Ctrl alt del before opening the mail and checkhow much memory and how many resources are taking. If you see IExplore taking an abnormal amount of memory, this is the problem. Microsoft will not work on this continuous buildup of memory, the only thing to get around it is to reboot your system or get out of Internet Explorer and start again

Why cant I open my Yahoo mail box? it freezes up , When I log on to my Yahoo mail it freezes up and at bottom of screen it says dowmloading blank

Same problem here! Waiting for a solution...

I'm running Windows XP SP1 on an AMD chip (BIOS is old, about 2004). No support package higher than SP1 will take even though the Intel registry is set to 4. Hotmail works fine. Neither Yahoo Mail nor my personal Yahoo account ([email protected]) will show mail. They just give the current count of unopened mail, a white blank screen, then lockup (Ctrl-Alt-Del cures the lockup). All drivers are up-to-date with a driver program. All Windows updates are current, up to SP1. Yahoo Messenger is installed (but not used). Everything works except Yahoo Mail.

Try scanning your computer for any possible Virus / Spyware infections, uninstall the Yahoo messenger from Add/Remove programs and reinstall it. Also check the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL keys) for the CPU usage.
