2004 Ford Taurus, problem started last night. Drove to store, came home & parked. Tried to restart to park closer to curb and would not start. Engine did not turn over. Got low oil pressure message, codes for oil and battery lit up. Let sit for a while, restarted okay. Next morning, started fine, husband dropped me off at work. When he parked this morning he could not restart it.

Well your vehicle is indicating a problem, did you or your husband check the oil quantity? If it is low replenish the quantity. Also your battery seems to be failing, when you park it for a long time it will gain a little bit of power, thus when you come outside in the morning it would be better off then if you turned off the car and ran into the gas station to refuel and tried to take off. This shouldn't be a problem if your alternator is working properly and charging the vehicle while you drive. You may want to have your husband remove it and bench test it at a Checkers/Autozone or a local auto parts facility.

I have 2004 Ford Taurus with 155000 miles and it started to jolt at times when I turned left (like the brakes where being applied). I've had the alternator replaced, the fuel system replaced and spark...

You are going to think I'm nuts but, it's probably the power steering pump or, and most likely the rack & pinion. Your own description of the symptoms are common indicators of a bad rack & pinion. The turning left thing is also a classic sign.

It will only get worse and, could jam on you while driving. You dont want that!!!
Have it checked soon.

The 12 volt battery(LUCAS 065/3) on my FORD FIESTA 1100cc is 4 years old, in that time i have only driven 1,600 miles as my journeys are usually very local. I make sure i use the car twice a week to keep...

Running so few miles has accelerated the aging of the battery - the battery never had a chance to fully recharge in such small trips -  so now you have to replace it a year sooner than usual.
Just replace it.

I have a 1997 Ford Thunderbird. Last night I was at the grocery store, came out, car started just fine, but I couldn't get it out of "park". The button on the side of the shifter (automatic) wouldn't go...

Try dis connecting the negative side of your battery for 5 minutes. Hook the battery back up and see if the theft system reset itself. It has to be the negative side only. Hope this works.

Car won't start

Check list of things to do;

1) Does the headlights work.
2) Is gearshift in PARK or NEUTRAL. Wiggle gearshift slightly while starting.
3) Check the fuses. ( these are typically located inside the car)
4) Check the fusible links. (these are typically located under the hood)
5) Check ignition switch. (does it turn on radio ? will alarm sound if driver door open ? etc)
