Ze5400 laptop problem

It doesn't boot up. I ended up re-imaging it. It then worked fine for about 2 hours. After that it just went to sleep. Pushed the on/off button and it still doesn't work. After some time, I got it to start to boot, but froze. I even went into bios and it froze while I was looking at the tabs. Any help would be great.

Re: ze5400 laptop problem

Try replacing the "cmos"battery, have the hard drive tested for could even go to bestbuy and geeksquad will run diagnostics on it and tell you whats wrong for $59. then you can deside what you want to do from there.

Had "mirror image" boot screen.

I had a Dell XT2 tablet, brand new-when I went to boot it, the POST screen and Windows load screen were half-off the screen and mirror imaged as well. After trying the Dell website, as well as Google and Bing, with no success, I decided to try a trick that sometimes works on Toshiba Portege tablets too. Remove the battery, unplug the power adapter, and hold the power switch for 10 seconds. Replace the battery, plug back in, and it appears to reset the CMOS-both the Toshiba and Dell boot normally.I suspect that this will work for many other models of laptops, but I have no proof-I do know that it will work on Dell D-620/D-630 laptops. I have also used this trick to bring laptops out of what appears to be a 'hung' sleep/standby state.

My Vaio doesn't go to sleep/hibernate when closing the lid

Maybe the little sensor or pin that sticks up and is pushed in when you close the lid is broken and the software doesn't realize the lid has been closed.

I recovered from a system image, and Onekey Recovery doesn't work anymore

System image has to have exact partition and format to clone. Two adjacent partitions can not do cloning. Fat table addresses needs to be offsetted and NTFS file system would be incorrect. You need two exactly identical hdds to be cloned(no replacement track and sectors), switch drive to boot. At the end of each day they have to be cloned again for the next day. Think backup would be safer with writebacks.

Acer aspire one, won't wake up from sleep mode, screen blank

I'm having the same problem, but I don't want to have to turn off my computer EVERY time it does this. (I have not been able to shut down the laptop normally because it goes into sleep every time.) I've heard that after 3 hours it builds up an eletrical charge and you have to take the battery out, but I havn't had it on for 3 hours at a time.

When I boot up the screen is all colors and lines

It sounds to me like your cable is loose to the lcd or the video card is not properly 100 percent seeded into the mother board. Prolly the cable in one way or the other, perhaps bad cable.
