Question about Canon Laser Class 8500 Printer
RE: Cannon Laser Class 8500- Memory Upgrade problems.
I would love some help with this issue. I recently noticed that outgoing faxes were using up all the on-board memory faster than it should be, getting only about 30 pages before memory was full. To fix the problem quickly, I ordered a 4 mb RAM upgrade chip and installed it. I don't have a service manual, but there appears to only be one place to install this RAM chip, so I plugged it in there. All fit just fine, but after install the fax would not boot up when plugged back in. If the chip is removed, the fax boots up just fine. Can anyone offer any assistance for this? Thanks - Chris
