The same thing happened to mine, so far what i do is do the hard reboot:
take the battery out, hold down w, while still holding the w put the battery back in. then scroll to reboot.

may take a few tries....
also this is an annoying and very temporary fix...get a new phone.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

It was working but all I have now is a blank green screen

It is usually helpful to name the device, the brand, and the model number and if a computer, the operating system. Such information will generate better responses.

Perhaps the freeware "Who Crashed" will provide some information if this is a Windows based PC. Blank green screen? There used to be the Blue Screen of ***** often encountered on early Windows systems crashes. I just don't have enough information to recommend a fix. Try to boot the computer in safe mode by hitting F8 repeatedly as you start the computer and scrolling down to safemode with arrow keys. Once in safe mode, there are things you could do such as uninstalling whatever software you were using just prior to this crash or running chkdsk but I am pretty much "flying blind" as you haven't indicated the device, the model, operating system, brand...

check t-mobile support for firmware update.

If you can't get one from tmobile support you will most likely have to send this one in for service.

Crossfire crsashes in games

OK. As Cool Hand Luke would say..."What we have here is a failure to communicate." The MB listed in the article does not support Crossfire; it doesn't even have PCIe slots. It has an AGP 4x slot...that's all. You must have a different MB than listed, and until and unless we know what board you actually have, we won't be able to help you.

Sidekick 3: System crash and big X, won't start up

HOW TO DO A MASTER RESET ON A SIDEKICK 3 NOTE: Performing this will restore your device back to factory defaults, meaning you'll loose everything on your sidekick!
1. Remove the battery and the SIM card from the device. 2. Flip the sidekick open; press and hold the letter 'r' on the keypad. 3. While holding the letter 'r', place the battery back in the device. DO NOT INSERT THE SIM CARD YET. 4. The sidekick will restart itself twice. Please make sure not to let the letter 'r' go until it has fully rebooted. 5. Once it has fully rebooted, remove the battery, re-insert the SIM card and battery and power up the device. 6. Once the device has fully rebooted, all prior information should be erased from the device and it should be restored back to the default factory settings.

Firmware crashed. T-mobile needs to reload the OS into your device. Its "blank" or corrupt. Only way to bring the device back is to flash it

Emulating a Hard Reset
The Sidekick 3 now will commit memory-resident DataStores to flash memory when the device is powered down or rebooted normally. This greatly reduces the incidence of "hard reset" resyncing of the device which enhances user experience, however it makes it more difficult for developers to test this functionality on the device. You can simulate a hard reset on the device two ways: 1) Yank the battery out of the device without shutting it down. This will force a hard reset of the device, but it's not recommended as this can also potentially corrupt files on the miniSD card if they're being written when this happens. 2) (recommended) Follow the steps below to clear the datastores off and simulate a hard reset:
- Reboot the device by pressing @+1+0
- IMMEDIATELY press and hold the 'R' key on the keyboard. Continue to hold the 'R' key down
- The device will reboot, and when the initial boot screen (the 4 face buttons animation shows) displays, the screen will clear and the device will reboot again.
- Let go of the 'R' key at this point, and the device will reboot with no datastores, and force a resync.

Sidekick 3 has big red X on screen

You can try hard reset to see if that will clear it. With the unit powered on, pull the battery out.

Want to clear out info on your Sidekick info (ie: to sell yours)?

1) Remove your sim card
2) From the jump screen: Menu -> Settings -> System Info
3) Press Menu+Shift+X Select OK to clear the flash.
4) Press Menu+Shift+R Select OK to clear the login information.
5) Perform a hard reset now. This will reboot the device.
To perform a hard reset:

SK2 - Press the power button and reset button at the same time. Unit will vibrate when reset. You can use a paper clip or similiar to hit the reset button located behind the screen.

SK3 - remove the battery while the device is on.

6) Call your carrier and ask them to detach your device IMEI from the username locked in. Once that is done, hard reset without your SIM card inserted.

You're done.
