Re: Faxes sent through HP 3050 is unreadable

Following could be the reason behind this issue:

1. Check ink cartridges of the recieving printer.
2. Make a copy from your printer,if there is any problem while copying then replace the printer.
3. If the copying is not fine then clean the scan feeder, andif it is fine then it is an issue wih the other printer.

Memory low on hp laser jet 3050. Please advise how to fix the problem. Thank you

solution: 1. Clear the fax memory. Here are the steps to clear the fax memory: a. Press the menu/enter button on the control panel. b. Press the > button once to select Fax functions , and then press menu/enter . c. Press or > to select Clear saved faxes , and then press menu/enter . d. Press menu/enter to confirm the deletion. NOTE: In addition to clearing the reprint memory, this procedure clears any fax that is currently being sent, unsent faxes that are pending redial, faxes that are scheduled to be sent at a future time, and faxes that are not printed or forwarded. 2. Enable the settings to print directly to the printer. Perform the following from the PC that has the printer driver installed: a. Click Start , Printers and Faxes , and check for the driver listed for the printer. b. Right-click the printer driver, and select Properties . c. Then click the Advanced tab, and check the print directly to the printer option. Click Apply , and thenOK . After performing each of these troubleshooting steps, try doing a print job and check for the results.

Make sure the rollers that pull the paper through are clean and that the glass is also clean. Clean the rollers with a cloth dampened with alcohol.

Scanned docs are too light

On some printers there is a "save" mode with the purpose of saving
ink or toner that if "on" will result in light printing.

Also see to that the scanner is scanning it with the right light/dark setting so that you know the picture has correct darkness and contrast to start with.

Hope this will help you.

Have a great day..

I have a hp all-in-one printer 3050. i can recieved fax ok but i can't send a proper fax as they recieve my fax black and dark and can't read fax i sent. i think it might be my fax setting on fax machine.

Hello cmcneill3

Does this happen w/ more than one recipient of your faxes?

If you haven't done so already, please, send a fax to a different recipient (one using a different machine to receive the fax on).

HERE is HPs information, downloads, etc. for your HP LaserJet All-In-One 3050.

I didn't find anything there that describes the issue your recipient is experiencing.

Please, use the All-In-One to make a copy of a document. How does the copy come out?

Please, post back w/ your answers and any other information you might have (the more details you can provide the better) and we'll see if we can get this issue resolved or at least diagnosed for you.

Thank you

Hello All,

Please perform the following:
Super NVRAM init
When a super NVRAM init is performed, the all-in-one language and telecom country/region settings

To perform a super NVRAM init
Turn off the all-in-one.
2. Press and hold down the * and 5 buttons.
3. Continue to hold down the buttons while you turn on the all-in-one. Hold the buttons throughout
the entire power-on sequence.
4. When Permanent Storage Init. appears on the control-panel display, release the buttons.
5. When prompted, set the language and telecom country/region.
6. Allow the all-in-one to return to Ready before using it.
