I am trying to backup my hardrive. Yesterday I purchased Memorex DVD+RW 10 PK. When I inserted the disk a message popped up: "the disc is not blank"!
How can that be? How do I create the disc so I can backup my hard drive?

Hello,
What operating system do you have? and what program, were you going to use to burn the data to the cd-rw?

I have a new HP Pavilion Ultimate - d49967 - Desktop PC. The program is HPs "Create backup copies of your files/folders."
When I try to format the disk the dialog box does not appear to allow choices. I then tried to use the disk and that is when I was told the "disk is not blank." I purchased the package containing the disks yesterday and opened the package today.
