When you are printing envelopes always use the adjustment lever to free up the intake for the thicker paper layers. This is not a cure for the jam itself but the likelihood of a jam being caused is reduced. It took me an incredibly long time to actually locate the lever and I overrode the command so I could print my envelopes. After that I started to suffer from jamming particularly when recycling paper. Since I have been treating my printer properly I dont get jams anymore

Do not continue this way, you are sure to ruin your paper sensor or the like. Most probably you have a paper jam inside near the carriage or roller. Open at front, check inside for paper jam.
