Keep getting "Failed to Save File"msg when trying to save captured video to hard drive

There really isn't enough information here to assist. Need to know what type of system you are using to record the video, what type of video you are recording (ie 4K, etc), local or network drive, drive array, or external, if internal, what is the drive spin speed? All of this matters when attempting to save a video.

My playback videos keep freezing

This is usually caused by processor overload, but if you are playing a streamed video, it most probably a network buffering problem. in other words your network cannot deliver data fast enough to keep the video playing smoothly. Your system and the OS it came with should not give you this problem if you are playing from a disc or your hard drive then there has to be a problem with either the file or the disc/optical drive, but it could be a virus problem (although unlikely)

My iomega network drive just decided to not show up as connected to my computer anymore. according to my router there is a physical connection, but my compy doesn't see it and the iomega software can't...

Reboot the network drive and the router, this usually works when mine doesn't show. You may need to disconnect any mapped drives, as it may show with a new ip address. Computer may also need to be rebooted.

The network card (also the sound and video) is integrated onto the motherboard on this computer. You probably just need to install the drivers. You can download the drivers from Dell here. Also make sure the onboard network hardware is enabled in the computer's BIOS setup. (If you didn't use a restore set from the manufacturer and just install Windows, you almost always need to install the drivers for integrated hardware.)

In everio media browser i try to change the "library destination" settings to point to a network drive but get the message "invalid destination respecify a different folder". Are network destinations...

No, they're not allowed, but I've found you can change it manually in the registry. Always be careful changing the registry. Mistakes can break Windows!
First, make sure the network share is mapped to a drive letter:
  1. Open "My Computer".
  2. Open the "Tools" menu and select "Map Network Drive...".
  3. Select a drive letter (eg. "V:" for video), type the path to the network video folder (eg. "\\Server\Videos"), and press "OK".
  4. You should now have a drive letter showing exactly what's in your network video folder.
  5. Create a folder on the network share to receive the videos (eg. "V:\Everio MediaBrowser").
Next, modify the Everio MediaBrowser settings.
  1. Open the Windows "Start" menu and press "Run...".
  2. Type "regedit" and press "OK".
  3. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ PIXELA\ Everio MediaBrowser\ IMXLIBRARY
  4. Double-click the "SAVEPATH" entry, change the value to a path using the drive letter you created above (eg. "V:\Everio MediaBrowser"), and press "OK". This folder must exist, so create it if you haven't already
  5. Select the "SAVEPATH2" entry and press "Delete". This prevents MediaBrowser from deciding a local drive is a better destination.
  6. Close the program.
Now you can download video into the library on the network.
  1. Plug in your camcorder.
  2. Select "Playback on PC".
  3. When MediaBrowser starts, press Backup at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Select the volumes to backup and press "Next".
  5. MediaBrowser should now say the destination is the network drive. Press "Next".
I have not attempted to import existing videos from a network share yet. That could be another challenge.
