Green shadows in dark scenes

Hello, I have an LG RZ 42PX11 four years old. Recently in dark scenes, it shows a lot of green/gray shadows of pixels located on the edges of the shapes that have very similar colors (as an example, on the faces, where several tones of pink are closer). The problem almost disappear in light scenes or increasing a lot the brightness (where black color almost become light grey). Any Suggestions? Thanks a lot.

The color is dark and a lot of green. No matter how much we change the colors it does not seem to help. There is a auto color buttom on off and it will not let us change to on. It skips down.

I had similar problem on my Samsung PS50A656 here in Europe...I could see it only when playing from my notebook from USA. The settings were 1080/60hz as my notebook`s monitor supports only 60hz. Although the TV was able to play that, I saw those clouds of green as you describe. I switched the notebook monitor completely to TV and than changed the settings to 1080/50hz. The green clouds are gone...
But now when I check the Info Screen on TV it says: 1080i/50z. Does it mean I am watching worse quality now because of that "interlaced" ??

Either your Y sustain board went out or your upper and lower Y buffer boards went out. Worst case scenario is your panel went out. But you won't know without replacing the other boards first.

Hello, My LG RZ-42PX11 is broken. Only yellow and light red is shown and white vertical lines. What is broken?

The T-CON board is bad. However, these rarely fail on their own. I would suspect an over voltage from the power supply or damage from dropping. However the vertical lines are from the broken T-CON board that is on the top edge of the panel

My brand new LG 37' Led/Lcd t.v. had four very light white spots that you can see in the background what causes this?

Hello
Dead and Stuck Pixels
Pixel defects for an LCD monitor are defined as one of two types: dead or stuck. Technically, both types of pixel defects are stuck pixels but it really deals with the electrical currents and the state of each pixel or sub-pixel.
A dead pixel is defined as a pixel or set of sub-pixels that has failed and is permanently in the off position. This condition means that the pixel will not let any light through. This can be observed as a dark or black spot on a brightly colored or white background.
A stuck pixel is defined as a pixel or sub-pixel that has failed and is permanently in the on position. This can be either with a single or multiple sub-pixels for a given pixel and is best observed on a dark or black background. A white pixel means all three sub-pixels have failed while a green, red or blue pixel means one of the sub-pixels has failed.
Hope this helps, if so do rate the solution

I believe there may be another setting, it has to do with auto contrast which can make the TV seems to have high contrast ratio but sometime it does not work right, espically on the scene with dark sky with stars, someitme it will will reduce the brightness to make black real black and you can loger see the stars in the scene. I forget the name of this setting, it may be in the user manual. Do you see that in TV HD mode in other movies with a lot of dark scenes?

Getting light pixelation on dark scenes.

Sometimes a technician can make adjustments to the y-sus and z-sus boards on the panel. If that doesn't work then its either replace those boards along with the main driver board or replace the panel. Either way this requires a technician to look at the TV.

Well the shadow is caused by the pixels going dead. There is a term for this "dead pixels" if its still under warrenty take it in. If its not you may be able to get a new screen for it on Ebay.com I use ebay a lot and boy I found thing I though I would never find people are very informative and you will probably need to take the screen you bought to a repair shop and have them place it in for you. this is not a quick fix so I hope this helps.
