Hi.

If the door is closed, then the Door Lock micro switch may need replacing.

The switch can be tested by a technician bypassing it or reading impedance to see if micro switch is opening and closing.

Try first disconnecting power for a couple of minutes to reset the control board.

If you need to contact a technician call the number listed on the owners manual.

Regards.

My Hotpoint Ultima WMD940 will not fast spin. What can I try before calling a technician out?

The problem is most likely internal. You can try disassembling your machine up to the point where the technician will be a welcome sight. Check out some YouTube videos to see what you are letting yourself in for.

If it has reset button, then depress and hold it in for at least for 3 seconds, this could be the start button, or the pause button, check your handbook, it should give you some in formation.

Hotpoint BF1620 Integrated dishwasher not working

Lets try the following hope this works

1.- unplug the appliance, isolate it from the electric supply.
2.- Remove the kitchen unit plinth and check inside the inspection panels below the door to see if there is water in the base.

If there is, sponge it out and then try the machine again.

Hotpoint Ultima WMD940 F-03 showing on display

The error code F03 indicates a problem with the pump out of the washer or a failure of the pressure switch that controls the water fill. This is a problem that you should have a technician diagnose and repair.
