The specifications to enter the information manually, are on top of the harddrive. Kind of hard to discern, huh? That's because harddrive sizes from 6.4GB through 20.4GB are listed on top. C/H/S = Cylinders/Heads/Sectors The Quantum Fireball CX10A011 hardrive is a 10.2GB harddrive. You will see -> C/H/S....10.2 - 16383/16/63 on top.
That is , 16,383 Cylinders 16 Heads 63 Sectors
As for the 40GB model, it should be similar. If not, come back and post.

Hi. I am trying to upgrade from Windows 98 to 2000. Sadly, Windows 2000 will not recognise the hard drive driver. The hard drive I have is a Quantum Fireball CX 3.5 series (part # CX10A001 Rev. 02-B). Where can I find a driver compatable with Windows 2000? I've already tried contacting the manufacture(s) to no avail. Can anone help me with this issue? Thanks very much.

I am setting up a new pc with a primary hard drive on a SATA cable. I would also like to use the hard drive from my old PC which is a Quantum CX 3.5 and an IDE cable. Do I need to set the jumpers on one or both drives if they are not on the same ribbon?

hi! i have a quantum fireball scsi drive and i try to load windows nt 4.0 on it. i start the setup with the 3 setup diskettes using the floppy drive. during the setup i locate my drive controler and then it ask for any other support for mass storage devices. i skip that step coz i donot have the driver for the drive but when it comes to load the operating system ,it does not read the drive and the message "drive is not accessible" is displayed. where can i get the driver from? or is it the termination ? please help. thanx rocky
