You have a problem in the deflection circuit check the vertical and horizontal outputs and even the horizontal drive transformer for bad solder. May want to check the horizontal and vertical yoke connection as well

When i turn on this TV it display the Sony logo then it went off in on few second.then the power light bling six times, what is the problem with it .

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

Vcr not working

Hello!
Sorry to admit, but your VCR's signal processor is down. On screen display is generated by microprocessor, but video signal by different circuitry. Anyway, there is nothing you can do, except surrender to repair shop. Or, worst case scenario: buy another one. Even though I won't recommend to do so. "Modern" VCRs are cheap plastic toys, won't last too long, no replacement parts available, etc. If you have some technician's background, you may open the unit and look for "bloated" capacitors in power supply area or check electrolytic capacitors with "in circuit" capacitor checked, if you have one. If not: try to look for reputable repair shop, what stays in business for a while. there, still might be the people, familiar with VCR problems.
good luck with your project,
thanks,
Alex.

Hi, i just purchased two LG LCD TV's the 26LD350 and the 32LD350 I'm worried that it does not have an off switch and only goes on to standby mode. you here alot about tv"s catching on fire because of this....

I have never heard of any LG TVs having a fire issue.
LG added this switch to help save electricity. "Going Green".
You see, this On/Off switch was added to kill the power to the TV when not in use. This switch stops the TV from consuming power by not giving it power to be in a “Stand-By” mode.
If your TV does not have this switch, you could simply unplug your TV to give you the added satisfaction it won’t catch fire.
I hope this information has helped.
Good Luck.

I called on a Wednesday and got an appt for that Saturday for the technician to come to my house.

I have no picture but sound is good what is the problem. Do this tvs have a comon problem?

Hello avaldez107,

This is possibly due to either a high voltage problem or the filament of the CRTs are not lit (possible power supply issue). I would suggest that you have a TV repair Technician examine and repair the TV for you.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Sony kv-32fs13 chirps and flashes

Hello 0279737,

This problem is caused by a shorted Horizontal Output Transistor. I would suggest that you have this TV checked by a qualified TV technician. This type of problem requires dealing with dangerous voltages, and repair should only be attempted by a trained technician.

I hope this helps

Thank you,

You might try http://www.tritronicsinc.com or www.mcmelectronics.com.  These supply some parts for VCRs.  The consumer electronics service sector has dramatically declined over the last 15 years or so, and I'm sure alot of parts suppliers have likewise disappeared.

Unfortunately, VCRs, TVs and other electronics are essentially disposable.  Maybe manufacturers don't even stock many replacement parts for some of their products.
