Where is the thermostat located on a 95 monte carlo and how do i replace it

located in under hood fuse box the following link is the owners manual for th 2006 monte carlo page 5-95 starts the information and the location of the fuses

a 95 monte carlo maf is located in the air intake duct.

The transaxle shift solenoids are located in the transaxle.

THE V6 ENGINE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE AIR FILTER HOUSING DUCT LEADING TO THE THROTTLE BODY.FOLLOW THE LOWER RADIATOR HOSE TO LOCATE THE THERMOSTAT.FOR THE V8 ENGINE THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING IS LOCATED ABOVE THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR AND NEAR THE RIGHT END PASSENGER SIDE OF EXHAUST MANIFOLD.

Follow the top rad. hose.

It should be mounted in the transmission housing itself, near the output shaft, or possibly half way up a cable coming from the transmission.

95 monte carlo is idling high we just replaced the intake manifold gasket. How do I fix this and could I have caused it.

Follow the top radiator hose back to where it connects to the motor there should be 2 bolts holding a housing on, the thermostat is under there.. Depending on what motor you have you might have to remove the throttle body

Im not sure what motor you have, but the best way, usually, to find the coolant sensor is to trace out the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing. Once you find this, look around for a two or possibly three wire electrical connector in close proximity to the thermostat housing.

If you can clarify which motor your have I may be able to find something more specific.
