Re: What part do we replace first?

Door safety switch. You are sure you have power to furnace? jump out the G and R terminals on the furnace control board or turn your thermostat to Fan On to check. Make sure the door safety switch is in the closed position. Fan should come on. No fan, no power to unit. Check Emergency switch, circuit breaker and there may be a fuseable link in the wiring somewhere either above the unit or a condensate safety switch. Get power to the unit. Also check to see if there is a small fuse in the wiring inside the furnace or on the circuit board.

The WeatherKing Forced air heater stopped working in my house. The thermostat could turn it on in terms of sound but when I looked at the heater, all I saw is the pilot light. No air, hot or cold, was...

You will need to relite the pilot if this is a standing pilot furnace........If this has an electronic lite for the pilot then cycle power to the furnace and set thermostat to heat. and retry sequence. Once you get the pilot to lite then watch it to see if the main gas comes on. if it doesn't then you need to check and see if you are getting 24 volts to the gas valve with a volt meter. If you don't feel comfortable with doing this then you will have done everything that is simple. You will have to call a service tech. Problems that it could be are gas valve, limits not closed, ignition control board, main limit open because the blowor motor locked up or motor has open winding or run capacitor open.

Cool air comes out when the heat turns on. When I switch to Em heat, warm air comes out. Over the summer the air worker great, however when I switched to heat on the thermostat, cool air came out. Why?

Check the following. 1. Your setting temp must be higher +3 than room temp. 2. Check heating sensor.3. And also heater element.(If it's reversal valve, checke RV is working)

yes it could be due to a bad thermostat. What I would try is to turn The thermostat to fan on setting and see what happens. On this setting the fan should come on and run non stop. If the fan does not come on but the main burner will I would suggest that you change fan motors. I hope this helps. If the main burner is coming on and then shutting off without the fan coming on it is probably going out on hi-limit. Thank you

Weather King blows fuse in Criterion II furnace

You probably have a shorted wire between the heater and the a/c. There are two wires that conncet the control power to the outdoor a/c from the heater they should be on terminal c & y in the heater. disconect those two wires and try it again if the fuse doesnt blow you have a short in the wire between the a/c & heater

Re: Weather King heater

If it is an older weather king unit (10yrs+) strongly think about replacing it. Known for there problems any expensive to fix. To check the chimney, shut unit off and remove flue pipe from chimey connection. It is always better to have a professional chimney swqeep do it. I really don't think the thermocouple has anything to do with it, it probable does'nt even have one. If the thermocouple is bad, the unit will not work at all.

Good Luck,

Weather King AC

The motor of your air mover in the inside unit has failed.
It is responsible for circulating the air through the exchanger and your home.
This may be located in an attic space depending on the construction of your house.

Running the cooling with this not working could cause your outside unit to operate continuously or fail.

A more remote possibility is that the thermostat has failed and is only causing the outside unit to run.

No heat

First figure out if your unit is a heat pump, (where the unit outside both heats and cools your home) or it may be a propane or nat gas furnace, it could also be a hydronic heater (the water heater heats the home) let me know what you find out.
