    Hi.

Thanks a lot our help. I download spyboot and computer seems after paying, it did find a lot of erros and infected files, now i clean them...
My question is, does it help doing a disk defragmentation? Another thing I realize, which i dont understand, i have one disk divided in C: with system programs, this disk uses a fat32 system, while the D where all my data is stored uses NTFS, does this affects the performance of my laptop? It has 512 mb ram, but it should still work pretty well, it was taking more than 10 seconds to open my computer...to much... Wait for your advice.

Thanks guys for your great support!

Hi guys, thanks for your help, i did run the spyboot paid service, which found a lot of errors and infected files... the laptop has 512ram, although i found something i dont know if it affects its performance, has one harddrive divided in C and D. C has all programme files and uses FAT32, D has all data and uses NTFS, should i do something about it? Does defragmenting the disc help speeding it up?

    THanks for your help.

Well, there are too many many reasons that can cause an Acer notebook running slow or freeze now and then, for most cases, it can be affected by various hidden Windows errors. Those problems firstly cause your Acer slow, and then freeze up occasionally. One day crash all of a sudden. Just a point for note The ACER Aspire laptop, unlike most desktops and laptop computers, have a divided drive for file storage. NOT for system recovery. You programs will install to your C: drive, use the D: drive for storing files( pics, vids, docs etc) The 1Gb RAM will speed up your computer regardless of the registry fixes and spyware/adware fixes (but you should still run these fixes or you will end up back at slow again before you know it) I would advise you to run these fixes on a regular basis to maintain optimum performance.

Hope this helps.

I would recommed running Spybot and Adaware. You can google for these free software. They will eliminate any spyware that may be bogging your system down. Another thing you can do is right click on your "My Computer" icon and go to properties. At the bottom of the main screen it will say how much RAM you have. A descent amount is anything over 512MB. 1 GB will pretty much run anything you can throw at it. If it is less I would recommend going to Best Buy and speaking with an associate to see about getting more memory.

Defragmenting will help your computer access files faster. As for your disk partitioning, Leave that alone. Your D drive is used as a recovery system and it should not allow you access to it. Most computers come standard that way.

Ad Aware Free Download : http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
    Spybot Free Download: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirro...

You seem to have enough RAM (memory). That is not an issue unless you are running a lot of high memory usage programs.

You can run spyware programs to ensure there is not a great deal of spyware running on your machine. You could also reinstall windows and see if that fixes the problem. If that doesn't fix it make sure you have at least a gig of ram. If it is still slow I would replace it.

My laptop screen isn't pilelating properly and words can bounce up and down? I have an acer aspire 3000. any suggestions?

What is "pileating"?
If the words or characters are jumping about on your screen I suggest you may have a virus.
Use a good anti virus programme like Norton to clean your system.
Hope that helps.

Why aspire 3610 is very slow ?there is no virus!

Try removing programmes you no longer use and running Speed Disk/Defrag.
What happens is the system gets clogged with un needed garbage. A good spring clean may help.
Hope that fixes your problem.

My acer aspire 5515 laptop runs real slow its only 1mo. old

Yes, you can safely uninstall the acer game zone.

You should defragment the hard drive with Defraggler (http://www.filehippo.com/download_defraggler/)
and clean temporary files with CCleaner (http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/) and eventually scan for spyware with Ad-Aware or Spybot, oh, and also a full system virus scan wouldn't hurt either.

You could also disable some programs which load at startup via Start -> Run -> type "msconfig" (without the quotes) -> Startup and disable not needed items.

First things first - let's have you download, install and scan your machine for spyware/malware with Malware Bytes to make sure there is no malicious code running on your PC (a high enough percentage of the time this can be the issue).

Beyond that I would need additional info on how much ram you have in the machine and the operating system you are running before I could give you more definitive hardware advice...

Post the results of your scan/clean and any additional info back here.
