Question about Acer Aspire 3000 Notebook
Hi, My acer aspire is too slow, i havent got a lot of info in it nor a lot of programmes, how can i do to speed up my notebook? I am already thinking about replacing it cause it is my home computer, but it is so slow that cant really do much, alhtough is not too old...
IF you canhelp me would be great.
Well, there are too many many reasons that can cause an Acer notebook running slow or freeze now and then, for most cases, it can be affected by various hidden Windows errors. Those problems firstly cause your Acer slow, and then freeze up occasionally. One day crash all of a sudden. Just a point for note The ACER Aspire laptop, unlike most desktops and laptop computers, have a divided drive for file storage. NOT for system recovery. You programs will install to your C: drive, use the D: drive for storing files( pics, vids, docs etc) The 1Gb RAM will speed up your computer regardless of the registry fixes and spyware/adware fixes (but you should still run these fixes or you will end up back at slow again before you know it) I would advise you to run these fixes on a regular basis to maintain optimum performance.
Hope this helps.

I would recommed running Spybot and Adaware. You can google for these free software. They will eliminate any spyware that may be bogging your system down. Another thing you can do is right click on your "My Computer" icon and go to properties. At the bottom of the main screen it will say how much RAM you have. A descent amount is anything over 512MB. 1 GB will pretty much run anything you can throw at it. If it is less I would recommend going to Best Buy and speaking with an associate to see about getting more memory.

You can run spyware programs to ensure there is not a great deal of spyware running on your machine. You could also reinstall windows and see if that fixes the problem. If that doesn't fix it make sure you have at least a gig of ram. If it is still slow I would replace it.
