Moaning noise I have a 1999 chevy blazer 4x4. I am trying to solve a moan or bearing noise in the front of the vehicle. I just replaced both hub assemblys and noise was still there. We then replaced the output shaft bearing and the pilot bearing. Noise is still there! It starts at about 30mph and disappears around 50mph. Had assemblys rechecked and are fine. What other parts could be causing this? It also feels like grinding in the front firewall also with the noise.

Have you tried rotating the tires to see if the noise changes?

When im driving the car moans and moans even louder when i turn the wheel, the faster i drive the louder the sound gets

You should check the power steering fluid level first. However, you said the noise gets louder if you turn the wheel. That sounds like a front hub bearing. To check the front and rear hubs, raise the tires off the ground one at a time. Try to move the tire in & out at the top, sides and bottom. spin the tire if you can. Only a tiny amount of play, if any, is acceptable. If you hear or feel rumbling or roughness when turning the tire, the hub is bad and must be replaced

1999 Chevy Blazer makes noise

Check your driveshaft universal joint (u joint). When the needle bearings go, this is the sound it makes. To check, chock all wheels front and rear, put in neutral, if 4x4, put 4x4 in neutral also, go under vehicle, grab driveshaft at u joint and try to turn back and forth, watching for play, wobble in u joint. U should be able to see it. Let me know how u do.

2003 Chev Venture Van Moaning Noise

hi from uk from your symptoms re moaning frm drivers side ? assume front?? best advice at this stage is to raise the front wheel and check for any undue wear in the wheel bearing by rocking the wheel top and bottom there should not be any tilting of wheel ? also make sure the wheel is free to rotate with no noise /roughness if so ? then you have a front wheel bearing failing however whilstyou check drivers side? also check the other wheel for same and it would be a good idea to check brake pads for wear during checks as you can do these if/when it becomes apparent the wheel bearing req's attention? all the above is subject to assuming you have checked tyres and pressures are correct ? you could pop car into local tyre depot and they could do checks on above for a quick diagnosis? hope this help check it out ASAP as this could be serious best wishes
