Check under the sink Miele puts a water flow sensor meter inline with your hot water line to sense the flow and rate to the proper level there is a small catch screen on the inlet side of it. turn off your water to the dishwasher and open the line up and check that screen That would be the first step.

I have a 2 year old front load washing machine it keeps showing error code 4E I have cleaned the inlet screens for both hot and cold inlet hoses plus I cleaned the debris filter.

Take off the inlet hoses. Place a bucket below the inlet hoses and check the water flow through the hoses one at a time. Some anti-flood hoses will constrict the flow rate when they start to fail. Replace the damaged hoses. Also check the filter and flow at the water valves, themselves. Fix any damaged valves/clogged pipes (or get a plumber to fix the issue). Check that the hoses aren't kinked.

Next did any water enter the washer? Did it immediately start to siphon out? If so, check if the discharge hose has been shifted deeper into your outlet/sink. If the end of the hose is below the water level in the washer, this happens.

If the water level reached the normal level, then the problem may be the system that checks the water flow. This could be a problem with the wiring, the control board or the pressure switch. There is a tech sheet inside the washer (behind the control panel usually) that can help you check the voltage/resistance at various points of the unit.

If no water entered the washer, then the inlet valves aren't opening properly. This could be related to the wiring or the solenoid. Replace the appropriate parts. If the solenoid is failing, it could work during parts of the wash/rinse cycle but not others.

I hope these ideas help.

Water keeps coming into the machine, looking for electric valves.

The solenoid valve is under the machine. It will be a block of metal installed with fittings into the water pipe and it has a plastic cylinder attached to it. The cylinder will have two wire terminals on the end opposite the valve block and is typically about 3/4" dia. x 1 1/2" long.

Hi, I'm looking for help with my hotpoint wmf740 washing machine.

A couple of possibilities here.
It could be a sticking water inlet valve, or water syphoning back into washer if the drain outlet hose is joined into the sink waste outlet.

To check which it is, turn off the water supply to the washer and leave for a day or two, if no water comes in, then it is a sticking inlet valve which will have to be replaced.
If water still comes in after turning it off to the washer, then it is the waste outlet pipe that will need to be lifted up higher to prevent water coming back into washer from sink waste.
Please rate my solution.

Sounds like water pressure could be low or inlet pipe is kinked.

F04: possible filling or water level problem. Check water inlet pipe (or shut-off valve), or the outlet pipe, or the pump or pump filter if accessible (check for blockages or foreign objects). Also could be the water valve solenoid weak, causing filling to be too slow.

F05: possible draining (pumping off) problem, check the pump filter, or pump, outlet pipe, or U-BEND.

Don't forget to rate!

Water outlet default

Outlet filter is located behind the little square door at the bottom of the machine. The inlet filter is in the end of the inlet hose. It is also a filter in the valve on the machine.

Gushing water - Hoover SPB11 washing machine

First plug off the wall. Before connecting the "hoses" (both hot and cold) to the machine inlets see that the inlet is clean. Connect the outlet hose to the standpipe, not too deep. The outlet hose has to be about 3 feet above ground level; there is a water level mark behind the machine. Both the inlets should be well screwed in, noting the threads of the inlets

You said the water was gushing.....into the machine? Fine .....what back.
