Problem Description: no attempt to put paper thru printer, if it feeds it jams. Panasonic UB-5315

Hi, usually it is only a matter of removing the paper and turning it around prior to printing- but only at the start of each session. There may be a small piece of paper jammed in the paper throat area. You may be able to just see it if you open the paper draw or the plastic film area. You can access the latter area by sliding the tag downwards on the RHS of the printer. The piece of paper will be right at the bottom. Occasionally there is a full piece rolled up in the shoot that you can see above the film. You may have to remove the film rolls to access this. Make sure you look at which roll goes where before you remove them.- Ross

Paper Jam

You need to make sure that all the paper is out of the infeed assembly (where the paper comes out of). You may also need to clear any error messages on the printer front panel as well.

Printing only bottom half of picture.

I had the exact same issue with mine! I didn't manage to fix it, but I know exactly what the issue is. If you open the printer, you'll find a black rectangular box above where the film fits inside the printer. This black box is connected to the board above it, and is supposed to press down against the film, and then against the paper for it to print properly. There is a little bar above the rectangular box, and there should be two plastic pieces on both ends of this bar. The bar is also connected to the gears, and when the gears move the bar, the two plastic pieces coming off of the bar push the black box down. When I looked at mine, only one of the plastic pieces was doing its job; the other one was broken, and was sliding on the bar. Tried some super glue, wouldn't work. I suggest tossing it out like I did, unless it's still under warranty or you want to try fixing the plastic piece so the printer head gets pressed down all the way.

Part broke off and I can not identify it

I have my MFC-235C (same but for LCD screen and card reader) dismantled on my table right now.
On the bottom of the printer , after I have removed the printer tray there is, from 3/4 of the way to the back of the printer, to the back of the printer, a base sheet of gray plastic.
This is shaped in a wide "V" with the apex towards the back of the printer.

In the apex of the "V" is a white plastic coomponent with 2 hooks towards the front and a flap towards the back.
It is fixed between the two grey wheels and appears to just clip onto the outsides of the black plastic fins that are on each side of the white plastic gear-wheel that is in the centre of the apex on the printer base.

You may find it easier to see how to replace it from the back of the printer. There is a shield there that is removable in case of paper jams.

The white plastic appears to have some sort of "spring" occuring. But I cant see if that is built into the white plastic component or something external.

Printer R300

make sure you have the paper where it hits the part that sucks in the page to be printed (you can see the gray stucture by removing the paper and looking into where the paper is put) this might cause your papers, if you have a small amount, to bend to where the dip of the curve is facing the front of the printer. *Also the best way to prevent this is by having a LOT of paper where its fed (if the bending thing doesn't work.* Also the clicking noise is the sucking part not getting a piece of paper. This is because the paper not inserted correctly means that the pronter detects that paper is in the pronter but it can't get it.

If there is a clicking noise as the printer is printing then most likely the fuser film has torn. The fuser film is part of the fuser unit. This item is best replaced by a technician.

Have you found pieces of film like material around the printer paper exit? It is most likely a dark grey color.
