No sound device

No Sound Device notification suggests that your Sound Card Driver had corrupted due to some sort of file deletion process or change in your registry. (Which could be due to a virus attack).

1 - First and foremost, if your PC is feeling a bit sluggish, download and install a free anti-virus like Avira, from this link:

2 - Check your system for possible viral infection.
3 - Clear or delete any suspicious files.

Now if there is no viral infection and Avira declares your PC free from any mal-ware then go on

1 - Remove the previous installation of your Sound Card Driver using Revo Uninstaller Portable, it can be downloaded from the following link.

2 - It would ensure that no previous installations of that driver are intact.
3 - Reinstall the sound card driver.

Hopefully it would help you solve your problem.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Cannot delete avira antivirus, when i erase in my folder.

You have to delete your antivirus from Add or Remove Programs Section (Start->Control Panel->Add or Remove Programs-> Search for Avira and click on the right button (Remove). Just erasing your folder will not completely delete your Antivirus.

I hope I helped you

I have windows defender as well as mcafee anti virus is this a good thing? also i can get free security on virgin media would this be as good as mcafee when the current subscription runs out?

Generally you can leave Windows Defender on but yes, a real antivirus is recommended. Both Mcafee (from personal experience) and Virgin Media Security (from the reviews I've read) tend to slow your computer down or be ineffective. If you want a free solution, go for Microsoft Security Essentials
or AVGfree, although AVG is also a resource hog. If you don't mind paying for quality, Eset NOD32 is the best and most lightweight you'll find.
Avira is also a good choice, but I personally recommend ESET.

Antivirus again

Antivirus programs are useless these day's they can only protect you from viruses allready know not new ones created and released.Your best bet is to check out a program called deep freeze, a virus comes in new or not and you simply turn off and on your computer and your right back to your original state. you can even delete important registry information and simply turn off and on your computer and all is replaced. save your money antivirus programs simply add more complication's to your life than you need. have a great day.

I am trying to download McAfee Antivirus and keep getting error 76556 that does not permit installation I already removed all the other Antivirus/Firewall from the computer.... But still when i try to...

Was the other antivirus/firewall program you had installed on your PC McAfee or another brand? If there was another brand (example: Symantec) you will need to run a full uninstall utility (accessable from most software vendors websites). If the other antivirus/firewall was McAfee, run the full uninstall utility which is called the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool which you can obtain at the link I provided below; again this is for McAfee products only. If the last software you had on your PC was McAfee, then run this tool, this will do a complete job of removing old remnants that Add/Remove does not. It will then reboot your PC, and after which you should be able to reinstall your new McAfee software.,73330-order,3-page,1/description.html (McAfee only)

If it wasn't McAfee, you will have to check the company's site for a removal tool as Symantec (as an example) has one too.

Click start->run->type regedit
When the registry editor opens click on edit ->find->type mcafee
When you find something just press del..Keep pressing F3 until you get a message finished searching thru the registry..
The try installing norton..If it still doen't work then you might have been infected with some kind of virus..If this is the case restart the computer in safemode and try to install.Post back the status so that we can help you resolve this issue..
