Check both cartridges, one might still have plastic film that needs removal.

I got always the message Print Head not installed

follow these steps:
1.
Turn the open the top cover. Wait for the cartridge carrier to stop moving, then lift the first cartridge out of the printer. Tilt the cartridge forward, then carefully lift it out of the printer.
2.
Examine the electrical contacts on the bottom of the cartridge. Look for any tape that might be covering those contacts. New print cartridges ship with this tape to protect the cartridge and prevent leaks. If you fail to remove this tape, the printer cannot sense the cartridge and it might return a "print head not installed" error.
3.
Remove the rest of the cartridges from the printer. Check them for tape and other obstructions. Also check the cartridges for leaking ink, and clean them if necessary. Discard and replace any cartridges found to be leaking.
4.
Clean the ink cartridge carriers thoroughly, using a soft cloth or a small vacuum cleaner designed for cleaning computer components. Paper dust and ink residue can accumulate in the carrier and cause communication issues with the printer.
5.
Place the ink cartridges back in the printer and close the top cover. Power cycle the printer if the error message does not go away immediately.

How to load new ink into printer Canon Pixma 620B ? Thank you!

Step 1.
Open the hood of your printer; if the ink cartridge holder does not slide into view, check to make sure the printer is turned on.
  • Step 2 Remove any empty cartridges from the ink cartridge holder and dispose of them properly. Some Canon printers have a protective cartridge lid that must be opened before you can change a cartridge.
  • Step 3 Remove all protective tape and plastic film from the fresh cartridge. Canon uses a bright orange protective tape on its ink cartridges. Some Canon ink cartridges also have a bright orange protective cap over the ink nozzle that must be removed before installation.
  • Step 4 Insert the new cartridge into the ink cartridge holder. Tilt the cartridge up slightly and insert end-first into the proper slot; push down gently on the cartridge to lock it into place. Some Canon printers have an indicator light that will activate when the cartridge is firmly installed; other models have a cartridge cover that will lock into place when closed.
  • Step 5 Close the hood of the printer. The printer will indicate when it is ready for use with a message on the LCD screen or by blinking the LED indicator light.

After installing re-filled ink cartridges, both color and back & white, the printer message that shows ink level still shows low level ink? How do we resolve?

    Hello,

    Try this procedure:
    1. Open printer lid so cartridges move to center of carriage.
    2. Lift clamp and remove black or color cartridge from the holder.
    3. Place cartridge on table with copper contact strip facing you.
    4. Carefully place a strip of clear plastic tape over the four contacts on the upper left corner of the cartridge.
    5. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position.
    6. Open lid and remove cartridge again. Remove tape from left side and place tape over four contacts at upper right corner of cartridge.
    7. Reinstall cartridge in printer and close lid. Wait until cartridge returns to parking position again.
    8. Open lid again, remove cartridge, remove tape.
    9. Reinstall cartridge and close lid.
Printer will now recalibrate. Once the process is complete the ink level meter should be reading full again.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Error message HP Officejet 7310 "remove and check cartridge on right. Removed cartridge, checked it (nothing), installed it back - still same message. Installed new original HP cartridge - still same...

Can you find a friend with a similar HP printer, i.e., one that accepts the same model-number of ink-cartridge? If the cartridge gives the same error-message in the other printer, it's time to responsibly recycle your "dead" cartridge, and give the brand-new cartridge to your friend, for his/her usage.

Printer message is 'remove and check cartridge'. have done that and put in new cartridges but message stays. can print a test page but it will not print anything else

I assume something has happened during a print job and you are seeing this message on the 6110's control panel display. Either there's a "clog" in the flow of ink or an issue with the electrical contacts between the cartridge and the print carriage. Unfortunately, HP.com doesn't list this error message on the web page for 6110 errors.

You can go to the following web page and follow the instructions to clean the electrical contacts I mentioned. The problem you are seeing can also be caused by an incorrectly installed ink cartridge or one where the protective tape strip was not removed before installation.

The latter is likely if you see this error message right after you've put in a new ink cartridge. It's easy to put the cartridge in incorrectly or not to correctly latch it in place. It's also really common to forget to take the tape off before installing the cartridge.
