Why is Maytag Centennial 3.2 cu. ft. SuperSize Capacity Plus Top Load Washer shaking during spin cycle

check to make sure it is sitting level on the floor and one leg adjuster hasnt backed in making it shake. But even when you stick cloths in evenly they can bunch up during cycles.

Washing machine is really loud when spinning (sounds like a plane taking off)and if you are sitting on couch one floor down you can feel the couch vibrate and the floor its on shakes like crazy. I was told...

no it is not normal and there so be no reasonable excuse for bad vibrations and shaking on a new machine ,if the setting up instructions and leveling procedures were carried out.
at six months it should be still under warranty so have it fixed under the warranty

Washer shakes when spining. More on heavier loads.

shaking is generally due to inadequate floor structure under machine; i.e. plywood floor. in addition, if the washer is on a "pedistal" it will make matters worse; as the center of gravity is away from the floor. in rare cases, one of the drum "struts" can fall apart; and, cause excessive shaking. if you broke the locknut on one of the legs, unscrew the leg, and bring it to the hardware store for a replacement nut.

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

Washer Shaking Violently on Spin Cycle

Yes, there is...The legs on the washer are adjustable, the rear legs are often ( not always ) self adjusting, make sure the legs are not stuck and that they can move freely. But the front legs can screw in and out to move the washer depending on the floor the washer is sitting on. Make sure the washer is as low to the floor as possible. When the legs are screwed out too far the washer becomes wobbly. Often on the metal style legs there are lock nuts that can be tightened to secure the legs so they don't move on you. washers where really meant to sit on a cement floor, if your washer is on a wooden floor look carefully at the strength of the floor. If the floor is moving up and down when the washer is running, the floor may not be strong enough to support the washers weight. Most main floor laundry rooms floors are nailed down, the sub-floor is more secure if the sub-floor has been screwed down. Sometimes extra support may have to be added under the flooring to add some strength for leaking issues Check the easy stuff first, fill hoses tight?- drain hose cracked?
Failing those checks, cut a piece of cardboard slightly smaller than the size of your washer. Slip the cardboard under the washer and run a short load. Look carefully at the water mark on the cardboard. The mark on the cardboard the water leak will leave, will help you tell from which side or front to back the leak is common from. This will help point you in the correct direction to look for the trouble maker.

Whirlpool direct drive washer is always out of balance. Replaced 3 plastic glide plates and still out of balance even when the tub is empty

In most cases the floor is giving and allowing the washing machine to shake. For that problem you would need to stableize the floor from underneath. If you floor is nice and solid, try to tilt the washer forward raising the rear feet off the floor a couple inches then sit it back down. This will allow the auto feet levelers to adjust and may stableize the washer. If you still have a shake you could have a broken spring. Good luck and I hope this will FixYa.

Washer LG Model WD-8013F Noisy & vibrates badfly when spinning

hi all you poor owners of this heap of junk, i have one too with the same problems, the shaking and moving around the bathroom was stopped by welding a 1/2 inch long piece of 1 &1/2 inch dia pipe to a 2 inch square flat plate of steel then putting double sided sticky tape beetween the plate and the floor
where you want the front rubber legs to sit, this stops it from running around the floor but it still needs to adjusted to have the
same on the front two legs to stop the shaking.by leaning the machine back a bit also helps to stop it leaking so bad while filling, it is only from the condersation from the hot water going in and the poor design of the soap drawer not allowing the water to run back into the washer which can be fixed by cutting the lip off
the bottom wher the drawer slides in then running a bead of silcone in the crack between the front cover and the inside piece
then another one on the front edge to run the water back into the washer. hpoe this helps. bryan.
