Question about HP Photosmart 3210 Printer
Scanner problem. Used to work fine. Now yellow tinge all over scanned image and over rest of scan area, apart from a 1 cm. wide line at bottom of scanned image. Have tried switching off and powering off scanner for several minutes, and also re-installing software (on XP). Problem still persists. Any ideas?
> uplug the usb cable
> insert the cd which came along with the printer
> open the folder "util-->ccc" in the cd rom drive
> locate a file called "uninstall_l3"
> a black screen would be popped up. go on with the instructions.
this will uninstall all the hp softwares related to this printer from your computer even from the registry.
once that is done
> take out the cd and insert it once again
> click the install button on the screen which will pop up.
> when the software asks you to conect the printer, plug the usb cable back.
thats it.... try to make a scan. if it is still not working proceed to the following steps.
> unplug the power chord from the printer while it is turned on
> press and hold # and 3 button on the printer at the same time.
> while holding it, insert the power chord and wait for 5 seconds.
> release your hands
> when it is done, try to make a scan.
still not working????
you may have to service the unit.
thanks and regards
