Your magenta toner cartridge or magenta print cartridge is leaking should replace it (magenta is the red one).

My printer won't print on a full scale.. meaning

this has to be set from the wizard for the printing job ...look for the edges size..but when you print on paper ..something like a full size A4 image will always leave a 5 mm edge as default setting ..But like I said..initiate printing ..and in that wizard set the edge to 0 or to remove edge if it is possible..anyway if it is possible there is the only location where you can change it ...and I'm not sure if it can be done permanently

Our Magenta cartridge is not printing properly. We replaced it with a brand new cartridge and the problem remains the same. It barely prints, if at all, to the left of the page and gradually increases...

It's probably a dirty laser scanner. The magenta is most prone to this type of problem. Here's a link for instructions.

Print runs to the right as it prints the page, moving closer and closer to the right edge of the sheet as it prints down the page.

The printer is losing traack of the zero position of the carriage.

Possible problems:

1. carriage drive belt is too loose or teeth have been lost off the drive gear.

2. There is too much stiction of the carriage and the stepping motor "slips a cog".

HP Deskjet 6540 Alignment

Yeah, the only thing that can cause this is paper feed problems.

There must be either something loose in the paper feed mech (look for wobbling "tires") or there is still some paper or other foreign debris in the paper feed path.

Paper is printing but top edge of paper is creased and torn

It sounds like your maintenance kit is defective.
The excess oil leads me to believe that.

Print margins too large on Xerox DocuColor 12 - How do I reset?

Not sure this is what your needing but ,,

The Edge Erase default setting is No Erase, which enables the copies to print within 2 mm of each page edge. This is normally sufficient to remove shadows from the edges. If the dark edge is closer than 2 mm, you must set Edge Erase at Variable Erase.

The Variable Erase option enables the copier / printer to vary the amount of erasure from 0 to 50 mm in 1 mm increments. The same amount of erasure is applied to both top and bottom edges or right and left edges of the document.

  1. Select [Edge Erase] on the Added Features tab. The Edge Erase screen is displayed.
  2. Select [Variable Erase]. The Variable Erase screen is displayed.
  3. Under Top & Bottom Edges, use the [Up] arrow to increase the amount of erasure at the top and bottom edges. Use the [Down] arrow to decrease the amount of erasure at the top and bottom edges.
  4. Under Left & Right Edges, use the [Up] arrow to increase the amount of erasure at the left and right edges. Use the [Down] arrow to decrease the amount of erasure at the left and right edges.
  5. Under Original Orientation select the page orientation that most closely resembles the orientation of the document on the Document Glass.
  6. Select [Save]. The Edge Erase screen is displayed.
  7. Select [Save]. The Added Features tab is displayed and shows the new Edge Erase values.
