Emerson EWR20V5, using brand new blank Maxell DVD-RW discs, I get error #54037380, Cannot Record on This Disc. Tried running laser lens cleaner disc in DVD player and cleaned **brand new** DVD with the DVD cleaner as well. Still will not work.

I am getting the same error message. Is there a solution??

mine will not write on anything above a 4 x - disk is there any upgrades that will let it write on higher speed disks
