My Sony Cybershot T9 Camera LCD screen is cracked as it fall down on floor. I purchased the new LCD from Sony service center and like to replace it myself. Is there any guide to do it or has someone did it before ?

- The replacement work of the LCD screen on Sony T9 is not
very easy. It requires some soldering and careful handling of the equipment.
First open the camera by removing the body screws. Then remove the front and
back cover. Then remove the LCD & Backlight screen assembly by pulling out
the sire strip of the LCD. Now remove the black tape on the wire strip and it
will expose the two soldering points. Remove the soldering by using a low heat
soldering gun. This will make the old LCD and Backlight screen to be separated.
Attach this Backlight screen to the new LCD. Solder the backlight screen wire
to the LCD wire strip. Be careful not to damage the wire strip. After
successfully soldering the backlight and LCD cable, connect the cable to the
camera bode. Close the camera the way you have open. In case any clarification
is required please send me e-mail at aakif@melsa.co.sa
