On the amp there shud b a white and red plug hole this is for the audio cables out of the back of your stereo. there should also be a L with a + & - and a R with a + & - these go to the left an right speakers. if for a sub you do + from one side and - from the other. There should also be a part one for the earth, the other for a cable to run out of the back of the stereo to the amp this is blue cable used and then there shud be a power cable running off the battery with a inline fuse.
hope this was of sum help get back to me if u need mre

How do I install a Rockwood AMP-326 amplifier? I'd like to bridge it.

Rockwood was a very low level brand. Alot of their amps were not brigeable. If bridge able the bridge terminals should be marked (usually the positive of 1 channel and the negative of the other channel). Under no circumstances bridge to less than a 4 ohm load.

Maystar MX2200 200 watt Mofset Amp. Single Sub Car wiring

The inline fuse goes on the power wire (as close to battery as possible), and is there for a sfety feature to keep from sending to much power to the amp. All it does, is simply blow if the power gets over the specified amperage. For your amp, I would use a 40-60 amp fuse.

The remote power line, is simply an 18 gauge wire, running from the headunit to the amp. All it does is tell the amp when to power up. Since the amp is straight to the battery, it is possible to be on at all times, so you run it to the amp so it knows when to be on. If your headunit doesnt have a remote turn on wire, then tou need to run it from the ingnition to the amp.

For a signal cable, I recommend getting an rca cable to run to the amp from the headunit. Make sure when you run it that you run it away from the power wire to prevent from having engine noise.

You also need a ground wire, wich should be to a stud on the frame of your car, as close to the amp as possible.

When hooking up your amp to the sub, you need to run the negative to the negative (black to black) and the positive to the positive (red to red).

Sony X-Plode amplifier. NOT working

It is possible if the model amp you have is bridgable to 1 channel. Usually when you bridge an amp you will need to hook one wire to the positive side of one channel and the negative side to the other. You will need to consult you user manual for the amp or get the manual from the sony website for instructions on how to bridge the amp or if the amp is even bridgable.

Hooking up amplifier to stock radio in Lexus ls400 1991

Hi Robin, I think I may be able to help. The instructions are referring to an aftermarket stereo and not the factory one. Most aftermarket stereos have a blue wire that runs either the power antenna or an accessory that turns on with the radio(amp, eq, power crossover, ect.) As far as the RCA cables, once again, most aftermarket stereos have RCA outputs for an amplifier. Factory ones don't.You can go to Wal-Mart or ABC warehouse and buy a wire harness just for this particular application and then all you do is plug the harness into the factory harness, everything is all pre-wired so there is no guesswork involved and no mistakes.

I need installation instructions for a MTX thunder 280

BATT = 12v positve constant
GND = 12v negative or ground
REM. = 12v positive switched or remote wire.

The remote wire is most commonly found on aftermarket CD players. It's typically in the main wire harness. The most common color of this wire is blue with a white stripe.

I have a rockford fosgate p250.2 amp hooked up to two 12' subs but the amp is not powering on... instead the protect light is on and im not sure if its because its so cold outside... please help and thank...

Remove the load from the amplifier (subs) and the RCAs
Retry.
If the light stays on, there are internal problems with the amplifier, and it needs to be serviced.
If the amplifier works normally, attach the RCA's and power on again.
If it remains on, connect one sub, and then the other.
Your amplifier is a 2 channel amplifier rated at
60 Watt - 4 Ohm - 2 channel(s)
125 Watt - 2 Ohm - 2 channel(s)
250 Watt - 4 Ohm - 1 channel(s)
Your amplifier is not rated for a 2 ohm mono load.
If you have Single voicecoil subs wired in parallel, you have a 2 ohm mono load - your amplifier will eventually fail.

Subwoofers

This will depend on the amplifiers capabilities.

I will give 2 different scenarios.

#1 Stereo configuration

If the amplifier supports an RMS power output close to the RMS input power of the subwoofers then run the amplifier in stereo mode. For example 150 watts RMS X 4 channels driven at 20-20khz. (If you can provide a model # for the subs and the amp your looking at I can help you further with this decision.

Wiring for this is easy and simply involves matching the connectors for 2 of the channels (Front or Rear) to each of the subwoofers.

#2 Mono Bridged mode.

If the amplifier is lower power but mono bridgable you can bridge two Pairs of channels and power each of the subwoofers this way.

Generally speaking a 2 channel bridgable amplifier will be able to at least combine the wattage of each channel into a single monural channel and in many cases its actually higher.

So you would bridge the front 2 channels into a single bridged mode for one subwoofer. and then you could bridge the read 2 channels into another bridged mono channel for your other sub woofer.

For example if you had bridgable amplifier thats 50 watts RMS X 4 you coudl very likely (Generalization based on quality of amplifier) send 150 watts RMS to each subwoofer.

Again I would need to know what amp you're refering to to provide specific wiring instructions. Many Bridging amplifiers either have a single switch that will send them to bridged mode or you would use the positive + terminal from one channel and the negative - terminal from the other channel or a combination of both.
