Question about RCA WSP150 Main / Stereo Speaker

1 Answer

WSP150 speakers don't work on new computer

Have had WSP150 speakers for several years and they worked fine on my Gateway computer (and still will), along with two other sets of speakers using a three-way splitter. They will not work on my new Dell computer regardless of how I connect them. I have tried every combination of speakers possible and none work. I put them back on my old computer and they work fine.
What am I missing?

head phone set WHP141 will work with that set of speakers, look on Ebay
I have a set of the same speakers.... make sure that your transmitter is actually bad, it does not power up with the GREENLIGHT staying ON UNTIL the sound source is hooked up and has enough INCOMING volume to trigger the transmitter on.........

Lack of signal from transmitter

It sounds like you're getting interference on the frequency you're using for your speakers. If there is any way to change the frequency, try that first.

RCA wsp150 wirelss speakers

Jim, just about any generic power supply will work, so long as you match the output and polarity.  There should be a label on the old supply with the voltage and Amps (milliamps, actually), and a circle-in-a-circle with a + or - that tells you the polarity.
If you're not sure enough to just buy one from Target, spend an extra buck or two at Radio Shack.  Bring in the old one and ask for a replacement.  You may end up with an adjustable adapter with interchangeable tips, but it will work just fine.  Sometimes the mA are a little different, but that should be okay, so long as it meets the minimum requirement on the label.
I have a pair of these running my WSP 250's.

The following alternative may solve your problem:
Check to make sure the volume on the audio source is set to a normal volume. If the volume is too low, the transmitter will not turn on.
