Dynamode WL-PS-1P Print Server Manager Admin Password

I have just bought the above to use on my wireless network - I've installed it intially from a LAN connection and it prints, but when I go into the Print Manager admin program, it prompts for a password - I've not set one and it doesn't say what it is on installation.

Please can you help?!

Dear gbp7292, to access the admíns CP on this system yuou may try some of these "default" user and password combinations:

User System Password Manager
User Admin password 0000
User empty password 01234

If this still doesn't works, try doing a hard reset. To do this you will need to hold the reset button for 30+ seconds. After that, you'll have to reconfigure everithing.

Reset paa\ssword

Try this, it worked for my DP-300U.

username: psadmin
password: SYSXXXX (Where XXXX is the last four digits of the MAC address, which can seen on the underside of the server)

I learned this from viaujoc- ( On that post he also suggests a way of extracting the forgotten password from a configuation backup file.

DP 300U

DP 300U's can get be pretty uncooperative when attached to a different router. One solution is to reset the DP 300U to its factory settings. Use the PS Admin software to do this. (If you lost the PS Admin software, you should be able to download it from the internet.) If the software prompts you for a password and you do not know it, try "SYSXXXX", where XXXX is the last four digits of the MAC address located on the underside of the print server.
After you reset the DP 300U you will need to set it up from scratch, a process which is not particularly intuitive. Refer to your "Quick Install Guide" (download it from D-link's web site if you don't have it anymore).

First make sure the PS is hard wired to the router and you have all the wireless settings handy (including the SSID and Wireless Encryption). Then follow the step by step instructions in the file given below: Also, the printer with the ethernet cable seems to be a network printer. So, you need to do much to configure it, if its already configured; just connect it to one of the ethernet ports of the PS. Please revert back with any other queries.
