Question about Sony Handycam DCR-SR100 Camcorder
The second time I used the camera, I took it to the beach. Unfortunately, it got a little salt water, and instantly stopped working. I cannot power it up. I have the movies of my wedding and honeymoon in the hard drive that I would like to save and see again.
Can somebody please give me the right advise? I live in Sri Lanka.
I took it to a repair shop and was told that it cannot be repaired, and that I need to buy the same camera and they will try and power it with the new camera. Is this correct? I cannot afford to buy another camera.
I appreciate it immensely if someone is willing to help me.
I think you can try to deassemble the camcorder and see what type of hard disk it's using and get a connector hook up to your computer to retrieve the important image/videos.
I am trying to upgrade the sr100 to a bigger hard disk and that's why I am searching for help also.
