Question about Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player

1 Answer

No right ear audio

No audio comes from the right ear phone. I originally thought the phones were broken but I bought new ones and I still have the same problem. Also I have discovered that if I leave them half unplugged they seem to work OK but the quality seems a little off, that could be my imagination though. I figure it's busted but then again I don't know shit.

Re: No right ear audio

This is caused by the output jack on your zune, what happened was when your headphones were plugged in they got bent or twisted and it moved half of the holder away so it is not touching the cable when it is plugged in, you will probably have to send your Zune into microsoft to have this fixed.

My ear phones have loose contact. The jack must be rotated to some ideal angle at which sound comes but even then it only comes through the left ear phone.

The internal jack socket of the mp3 device could have dust inside it or a worn connector for the right hand audio.

Only Getting Sound Out Of One Ear In Headphones

go on eBay and buy a new audio jack.

I had the same issue. Gradually it became worse and worse (on the sound cutting out more frequently out of one ear or being really silent at best) and I replaced the audio jack by buying a new one on eBay. Or if you are not the do-it-your-selfer and you got money, bring it to an iPod store that preforms repairs. When you order it on ebay, if it is really cheap, it usually ships from China or something and it might take a couple weeks. But saves you some bucks!

Sandisk M250 ear phones Jack information 2.5 or 3.5 ?

It's the larger headphone minijack standard on most portable tape players etc., not the much larger one found on hime stereo equipment or the smaller one most often found on cellphones. So, "3.5" (mm?), I suppose.

Fuji M3360SL512MB MP3 bad fm reception

i think the antenna is in the phone wiring...but try this as a test: purchase a "Y" headphone splitter and plug that into the player then pug each set of headphones in...any improvement? if so, the phones you purchased do work but not same wiring configuration as original.

I can only hear out of one ear of my ear phones and sometimes I hear no sound at all

Perhaps you can open the player and solder the head socket it may have some dry joints there.
