Check input circuit. trace bridge rectifier circuit.. make sure its good.. check tranformer or line filter.

Fuse is probably burning as a precaution because there is a problem in the input section.. either ac side or after bridge

I have problem microwave model r-1871f i recent put new fuse burn out again quickly after i try start microwave i feel is might be capacitor

If the fuse blew almost instantly after you press the start key, that is almost always a shorted high voltage capacitor.

if the fuse blew while you were opening or closing the door, you should check the door switches and their mounts.

if it blew several seconds or a few minutes after hitting start, then it is probably a shorting high voltage Transformer.

The service manual is at my website here:

http://www.microwavecontrol.com/r1870_r1871_sm.pdf

you should look at this base service manual as well:

Internal fuse immediately blows

Unfortunately, You have failed components inside your TV. The fuse is only for safety (so your house doesn't burn down). Contact your local TV repair shop for further advise.

My RCA 52" projection TV will not power up. Turns itself off while trying to come on.

There could be a huge range of problems. I'll do my best to give you the key things you need to check.

Make sure that your house fuse is rated to take the power of the TV.

Make sure that it has it's own designated power outlet since it takes so much power.

Please do not plug the TV into a power strip unless it's rated for the TV and other items AND it has a surge protector.

Bigger issues:

A fuse within the TV could be blown; this needs a professional from your local TV store to replace and (sorry) could be a little costly depending on where you go.

Your power cord could have an internal disconnect and may need replaced.

It could just be as easy as getting a bulb replaced. A professional may have to do this for you if you don't know how. Personally I wouldn't try it because (get ready for a personal lesson learned) I took a tube TV apart to replace the power cord and I layed my arm over the metal portion of the tube and gave myself a pretty good shock. Left a burn mark for quite some time and I still have the scar to prove it.

Issue that has contradicted my previous solutions:

It could be getting too much power and is using an internal safety switch to prevent the TV from overheating and/or overpowering.

Good luck and please rate my solution accordingly.

With sony dvdirect vrd-mc5, can I burn pictures from my computer

Yes and no... you can not hook it up directly to your computer and burn copies of pix. You can however transfer your pictures to a memory card (SD, MS or CF) and then put that in the VRD-MC5 and burn your pix.

Hope this helps!

Tv overvoltage

Normaly there will be much more damage than the internal fuse. On this model, if I can remember correctly, there is a pig-tail fuse that is solder connected to the circuit board. When this fuse is blown, normaly there are serious problems in the power supply or some other areas of the set.

It would be best for you to take the set to a service center to have it properly checked and have an estimate. I have had your described situation before. Most of the time the set would be very expensive to service in this type of case.
