Question about Motorola Mobility ROKR E1 Cellular Phone

Network my cousin recently sent me a Motorola ROKR E1 from the UK but when i inserted a local simcard [celltell kenya] it tells me registering then it says no service whatmay be the problem

I believe its the bands that are not set up correct on the device. Make sure that its set on automatic as opposed to dualband. Menus on motorola phones can be split by 850/1900 and 900/1800. Just check the network settings, the phone is quad band and it should work. Only reason it wouldnt work, is if it was defective.

Motorola rokr e1..all of keypads & joystick are not working...
open up and clear for moisture/ sweat on the pads. use a hot air blower (Hair Heater) to warm up the board and dry. Good Luck

No simcard eventhough simcard inserted in MOTOROLA ROCKER E6
first remove the sim card and then switch on the phone... then choose antenna on... after a few seconds you will see emergancy only on your screen ... turn off your mobile and insert the sim and switch it on again ... this solved my problem ... but this is not working on my cell now.. does anybody have a solution?

Hello. I have a motorola Rokr E1 and I can no longer text message, add phone numbers to my phone book or even change my alarm clock settings. Anything that involves me entering text into a given field freezes my phone. It all started while I was in the middle of typing a text message. My phone froze in the middle of it and shut off. I reset the phone and now everytime I get to an area wherein text input is required and the cursor is flashing, I press a button and it freezes. I have to take the battery out to get it to shut off. I have not dropped the phone and I have done the master reset, which did nothing. The phone works otherwise which makes me think this is some sort of software error and not physical damage and it is physically undamaged
