Sounds like you have a door or switch open. Some models have a door in the back that you can open and receive the faxes in the back of the machine, others have a lever.

How can I delete the memory on a brother mfc-465cn printer fax machine? It will not receive faxes due to this

Review page 65 in your manual. Changing the "Advanced Fax Operations:"

If received faxes are left in your machine's
memory when you change the Advanced Fax
Operations, the LCD will ask you one of the
following questions:

Erase All Fax?
Yes - Press 1
No - Press 2

Print All Fax?
Yes - Press 1
No - Press 2

• If you press 1, faxes in the memory will
be erased or printed before the setting
changes. If a backup copy has already
been printed it will not be printed again.
• If you press 2, faxes in the memory will
not be erased or printed and the setting
will be unchanged.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Receive faxes to memory option might be enabled and all the faxes are been stored in the internal memory and not been printed. to retrieve them you can try printing from the memory. You can retrieve these faxes by changing the receive mode from main menu.
You can also see the operation guide for your Intellifax model 1860c from this link--

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

How can i generate incoming call report ?

To print a report:
  1. Press the [Menu] button on the Control Panel, until Reports is displayed on the top line of the Display Screen. The Phone Book menu item will be displayed on the bottom line.

    wcpe16-menu-but.jpg

  2. Press the right or left arrow button to scroll until the report or list you want to print is displayed on the bottom line.
    • Phone Book: Phonebook list
    • Sent Report: Sent fax report
    • RCV Report: Received fax report
    • System Data: System data list
    • Scheduled Jobs: Scheduled job information
    • MSG Confirm: Message confirmation
    • Junk Fax List: Junk fax number list
  3. Press [Enter] to print the selected information.
Your machine can print reports containing useful information. The following reports are available:
  • Phonebook List: This list shows all of the numbers currently stored in the machine's memory as Speed Dial and Group Dial numbers. You can print this phonebook list using the [Phonebook] button.
  • Sent Fax Repor: This report shows information of the faxes you recently sent.
  • Received Fax Report: This report shows information of the faxes you recently received.
  • System Data List: This list shows the status of the user-selectable options. You may print this list to confirm your changes after changing any settings.
  • Scheduled Job Information: This list shows the document currently stored for Delayed faxes or Toll Save faxes. The list shows the starting time and type of operation.
  • Message Confirmation: This report shows the fax number, the number of pages, the elapsed time of the job, the communication mode, and the communication results. You can set up your machine to automatically print the message confirmation report after each fax job.
  • Junk Fax Number List: This list shows up to 10 fax numbers specified as the junk fax numbers by using the Junk Fax Setup menu. When the Junk Fax Barrier feature is turned on, incoming faxes from those numbers will be blocked. This feature recognizes the last 6 digits of the fax number set as a remote fax machine’s ID.
  • Multi-Communication Report: This report is printed automatically after sending documents from more than one location.
  • Power Failure Report: This report is printed out automatically when power is restored after a power failure, if any data loss occurs due to the power failure.

NOTE: The lists you have set to automatically print out will not print out when there is no paper loaded or a paper jam has occurred.

My HP 6100 series all in one wants to align cartridge

This document explains the different results obtained when using or not using the Automatic Reduction (or Auto Reduction) Feature. The following issues usually result when the Automatic Reduction feature is not set correctly:
  • Faxes printing too small
  • Faxes printing on more than one page
  • A blank page ejecting between each printed fax page
This feature can be turned ON (the default) or OFF from the Advanced Fax Features menu. The two main purposes of the Auto Reduction feature
  • Fits a received fax page onto the paper size loaded in the paper tray and selected in the paper size setting of the Basic Fax Setup. For example; if letter size paper is loaded in the paper tray and selected in the fax settings and a legal size document is received, each page will be reduced and printed on one letter sized paper.
  • Allows the addition of the fax header margin at the top of every printed fax without extending the fax onto another page. The fax header is printed at the top of every fax received with identifying information about the fax sender. Since this increases the overall page length, the page must be reduced to fit onto one page. Auto reduction slightly shrinks the fax as it is received so the entire page will print on one piece of paper even though a top margin is allowed for the fax header.

Received fax in memory but not printing

I just checked this out as I had the same problem. It seems that the machine is programmed to stop printing faxes when the Toner is "out". Even though the toner is not completely out. I was positive that the note on the screen was false since I could print out documents and copies (I am not using Samsung original Toner). But the fax will refuse to print.  I fixed this by changing the toner (again with a non-Samsung toner) and it is printing all the faxes in memory.  It is stupid that they haven't set up a menu item to force it to print all the faxes in memory but voila, that seems to be the fix. I guess this is a way for them to control that we only use Samsung toner.

Lexmark x5150 all-in-one inkjet printer. trying to get the fax to work. i have dsl.

You may have to experiment to get the fax to work on DSL. Try these suggestions: press MENU, then scroll to:PRINT REPORTS. Scroll to HELP LIST and press SET BUTTON. Press START button to print HELP LIST. On the HELP LIST printout, locate the FAX MENU. Using a cell phone, call your fax and see if the fax answers. If not, try changing the following settings (change one setting, then call the fax with the cell and see if it answers, Make sure you set each changed setting back to what it was, until you find the right one.) try changing: RING DELAY, F/T RING TIME, EASY RECEIVE, OVERSEAS MODE. Also on the HELP LIST, find the INITIAL SETUP MENU. Select RECEIVE MODE, and try each option, again calling the fax with your cell until it answers. After you get the fax to answer calls from your cell, try sending and receiving with another fax, or use Brothers AUTOMATIC FAX-BACK SYSTEM, which will automatically send your fax a test printout when you call it. Just call 1-800-521-2846 from your fax machine, IT MAY BE ALREADY PROGRAMMED INTO YOUR MACHINES AUTO DIAL LIST, AUTO DIAL NUMBER 001..
