Question about Panasonic KX-TG6053S Phone

Feedback through base unit

I have these 3 phones through the house,when my kids are on the other phones then the base unit starts making noices like it picking up there conversation. Its really annoying if you can possibly help me.Thanks in advance

If the kids are using the satellite phones that came in the set, then it's possible this would happen because they're all on the same frequency. Maybe you have "speaker phone" turned on. When you say noises, do you mean you hear they're voices?

When I plug the phone line (Comcast is the provider) into my GN Netcom GN7100 Base it "shorts out" (according to the Comcast Tech) the voice modem and so I can't get a dial tone. This makes it impossible...

1. Be sure the jack on the base unit is clean and that the pins inside are straight. 2. If try line another cord - the cord is often the problem due to twisting or crimping. You can test the cord on another phone if you don't have a spare. 3. Make sure the headset is in the off or "on-hook" position. 4. To see if the unit itself is defective try it at a friend's house. Do other phones work OK on that line?

I took the handset out of the house by accident and now i cannot make outgoing calls but i can still get incoming calls

Taking the handset out of the house should not cause any problem, the phone should work anywhere as long as it is within reception range of the base unit. Try unpluging the base unit for a short while and removing the handset battery. When you replug and reinstall the system may reboot. It may be that the unit just broke and that it was a coincentance that it happened when you took it outside.

Humming and buzzing

You're getting electrical interference, probably near the base unit since you hear it on all the phones. Try moving the base unit to the other side of the desk (away from say a clock or radio), or check where your phone wire going to the base unit is running. It may be laying on top of an electrical cord or going across some other electrical device that has a motor.

I've just got a 2nd system of 3 handsets (KX-TG1033, DECT 6.0). I have also the same sytem in my house. Is it possible to expand 3 new hansets (number 4,5 and 6) to my existing base unit?

Sync a new handset to kx-tg5632 phone

This works on MY panasonic; May work on yours too!

Registering a handset
The included handset and base unit are
preregistered. If for some reason the
handset is not registered to the base
unit, register the handset.

Press and hold {LOCATOR/
INTERCOM} until the IN USE
indicator flashes.

Whole house ringing when cordless phone is used

try deleting all headsets using primary headset (marked with no.1): 4-base/8-deregister/default pin '0000' and register them again using each headset (3-headset/8-register/same pin). it worked for me.

Out of Range

Make certain that the phone line cable is plugged securely into the base unit in the back. Disconnect it and re-insert it into the connector firmly. That should do it if the battery pack has been sufficiently charged.....12-16 hours should do it for the initial charge. Of course, you can't ecxpect it to find the base unit if it is 2 miles away, under a metal box! Just kidding!!

Try unplugging all telephone (including the base unit), then try to call the number again. If there is still a busy signal, then the problem is with your telephone line/connection and you need to call your phone provider. On the other hand if the number rings, then chances are that base unit is defective (or one of your other phones physically connected to the tel line.).

To verify that it is the base unit or one of the other wired telephones,  reconnect them one by one and determine which of them will cause the busy signal. Problems like this can be caused by a power surge, near lightning strike or a simple component failure.

If it is the base unit, it is very likely an electronic problem and therefore would require familiarity with components and circuitry diagnosis, soldering and use of a DVM. Perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified phone technician.

Lost comunication

I solved this problem with a RESET of the handset. Instructions from the Philips website: Please perform a reset of your device. You will not loose your recorded data (phonebook and personal settings are being kept). 1. Unplug the mains of the base station. 2. Remove one of the batteries of each handset. 3. Put the batteries back in and re-plug the mains of the base station.
