Question about Canon PowerShot SD110 / IXUS IIs Digital Camera
Hi I have a Canon Ixus II that has developed an interesting fault.
The LCD screen looks OK when I am framing a shot but when I review the picture it is very pale with white horizontal lines across the whole frame. If i view the picture on a PC they look tha same.
However if I put good pictres on the SD card then view with the Ixus they look OK. In movie mode the camera works fine, both record and play. So I changed the camera to the lowest resolution I could. (As movie mode is low res)The pictures still look the same with lines across them.
I removed the battery, the backup battery and pressed the secret reset button, still the same.
I suspect either a CDD or internal buffer memory fault but do you know different?
This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
