My brothers MP3 Player is 2GB, but it keeps saying there is only 316MB remaining, and thats after all files have been deleted. Where's the rest of the memory? Cheers
Cheers for that! I was a bit weary about formating, cause it came up saying it will erase All data on this device, and it may include any settings stored. Thought i might end up with an expensive piece of plastic! Anyway I formated it (there wasn't a slow or quick one, just an OK to Format). Theres now 1.7 GB on it, (should be 1.8, but im not complaining) its a heck of alot more than 316MB. Thanks heaps!Cheers for that! When moving the mouse over a player in the list the country appears, where the device is being sold.
Enter your country in the top page and the exact model number next to the GO bar on the left for the required player. When the matching player is selected the specific support page shows up. When available the correct media converter download link is listed under Software and drivers.
Connect the usb. Install drivers if necessary from CD included in package then browse "my computer" for the "phillips drive". Copy your MP3 files to the "music" folder.
"guess wut!!! I just figured it out....it was the vista codec package that was sitting on my laptop that I had downloaded free which was causing the problem and for a minute I doubted the Philips company guys....After removing that package the files got converted perfectly and I can see the videos on my player...Ciao and thx if anyone was trying to figure this out"
Make sure the Philips Device Manager has been installed, and run it.
Press and hold the [VOL+] button on the player whilst connecting to the PC. Device Manager will go into repair mode. Follow the on-screen prompts. This will format the player, removing all files, and re-flash the firmware.
When finished you will need to re-start the player once, and a second time when it shuts down.
Open Windows Media Player. Go to the Tools menu and select options. (You may need to right click the top bar to access the Tools menu.)
Click the Rip Music tab. Select the file type you wish to use (SA6025 supports .MP3 and .WMA)
Make sure the "Copy protect music" box is not ticked.
Click apply then ok to return to the main program.
Insert your CD, and select the tracks you wish to transfer and click "Rip".
Your CD will be converted and saved in the My Music folder.
When it has finished transfer the files to your player using the Sync option.
