im an engineer and recently had exactly the same thing with this ariston boiler, i found out it was the the 'air pressure switch', this is a switch which is part of the ignition, it works in conjuction with the fan. when the boiler fires up the air pressure switch makes, if its faulty it can break the circuit mid flow and cause the burner to shut down therefore giving intermittent hot water and heating, theres a possibility that the aps tubes may be damaged as well so ensure they'e condition is good. hope this helps you
our saying you have spark you see gaz straying from injector if you have spark and gaz it have to start unless the timing chain has jump i be suprise of that one to check that out 1st remove spark plug cylinder 1 turn the engine untill you see the piston on topthat meen our number 1 piston is in compresson go on our crank shaft poulie lock at the timming mark if its 0 top dead center that mean our timming chain good you need to have spark at the spark plug from coil to cap on wire to spark plug check that out if any more help im pierre235 thanks for using fixya pierre
