Did you put the battery back in? Just checking. This sometimes happens with the PSP's. The charger it's self looses the ground. Try plugging in a car charger, or use a charger that will charge the battery out of the PSP.
hi, your problem could be one of a couple of things now the first and most likely would be that your charger is no longer working so you need to try another charger or try your charger on someone else psp.
the second problem you could have could be that the charging port has come away from the circuit board and if this is the case then you will need to get a new charging port soldered onto your circuit board, this isnt something you can do yourself.
now the third problem you could have is that a part has over heate on the circuit board causing a bad circuit usually the part that fails is just after the charging port so this would need testing to find out the exact cause.
first thing you should try is putting another battery in and see if it will come on with a new battery or try a friends battery in yours, if it comes on then you know the problem is going to be either the charger or the charging port, if after trying another battery it still dont work then the chances are something has over heated and the circuit board will need testing and parts replaced if needed. the problem with this is it all depends on how much the cost of repair is going to be because it could cost more than a second hand psp.
you could take it into a a computer shop and get a free quote on the cost of repair.
you need to try the battery first try and find someone else who has got a working psp and try their battery in yours and also try their charger on yours just to find out if the charger id the problem, if you try someone elses charger and it dont charge yours up then the problem is going to be the charging port or parts associated with that.
Try a different outlet in the wall, it might be the outlet. If it isn't
the outlet, maybe it's the power cord. Try to use someone else's PSP charger and see if it works. If it If it's not
that, then it's your PSP. If you had it since launch then it will cost $90 to get fixed.
try to insert its usb and attach it to the ON computer
if it still wont charge, try to borrow psp battery from your friend and test it. if still doesnt work, the unit itself must be the problem..try to look for sony service center near your place,if the psp unit waranty is still valid, they will repair it free.
