My Visioneer 9220 scanner is ready to scan, but I get a message to unlock it, and it is unlocked. This is the first time it's been installed and I've tried to use it.

JACKBOY:: I have the same problem with a Visioneer OneTouch 5800 USB
Drivers installed properly, scanner program works. Scanner says that it needs to unlocked after scanner light reaches 1/3 of the way. There is no!! LOCK any place that that I can find.
I one time had a scanner that had a PIN underneath that you had to pull out to ""unlock"" the scanner.
I think that the other people are trying to say is :: THERE IS NO UNLOCK FEATURE for them to unlock.
p.s. I just tried to press the "scan" button and it came up with .................
"please verify that you have UNLOCKED the scanner hardware. The lock is located on the bottom of the scanner"
p.s.s. There is no lock on the bottom of the scanner.

The image car is stuck on the travel rail. Remove lid, power and connection to computer. Turn scanner over and remove 4 screws holding body together. Turn right side up and push in on lower right front of body to relase keeper clip from top. There are 4 keepers at each corner of body. After getting right front loose, do right rear and then left rear. Left front is last [should slip off]. Unfold top toward front so as to not loosen button wires. Clean steel 1/4" round rail near rear of scanner and move scanner car by turning gears at left rear of scanner. Apply small amount of vaseline to rail. You can try to operate before reassembling but be carefull. Reassemble. And away you go. Happy scanning.

My 2004 saab 93 key wont turn.the lights come on but the little brakes indicator wont light up on my gear slot but my emergency brake is stuck on and it says steering lock malfunction on my

You can't turn the key due to the steering lock malfunction, you now need to have the systems control module scanned for faults. That is the first step to diagnose and repair this fault. You will need a special scan tool for this, so find a shop that has one that will read this Saab system codes.

1998 honda accord, passenger Door wont lock..I pulled the panal off,it wants to lock(I can hear the clicking noise when buttons are pushed) but it just wont go down even if I force it, just wont

moz-screenshot.pngmoz-screenshot-1.pngmoz-screenshot-2.pnga3c9e34.jpgSeems like the system is "thinking" the door is open, and on this condition, the lock will not go down. Picture depicted correspond to vehicles without superlocking, which is an optional theft deterrent. Should you have this option, let me know, and i will provide the appropiate picture. This graphic was copied from an Honda service manual.

How to turn off the anti-lock light on 94 ford Taurus

It is going to be hard to find someone to instruct you on how to do this, or do it for you, due to liabilty issues. It may be something as simple as a speed sensor (less than 100.00). I would get it scanned and find out what codes you have in the system.

Visioneer 8920

I have had this very problem with 2 of these scanners (8920) and finally figured out what happens is that the cheap chinese power supply loses power over time and then finally gives out. Before it fully gives out it doesn't have enough power to scan properly but will still turn the scanner on. Symptoms range from terrible scans with noise to the dreaded "scanner is locked" error. I got a new power supply from radioshack - 12 VDC at 1.5A (1500 MA) and it works like brand new! Make sure the power supply can deliver the full 1.5 A of the original! This is very important.

Scanner error

Try flicking the transportation lock (on the left side under the scan lid) on and off. It has a picture of a pad lock shown locked and unlocked. Flip it back and forth and leave it in the unlocked position.

This worked for me. Good luck!
