Re: okay i have window vista

What i would recommend you to do is to uninstall the device and reinstall it back...tou uninstall it...assuming that you are running windows on start, right click on my computer and go to should have your system properties open then click under hardware then device manager...look for the sansa usually located under portable device..if its not showing there i would recommend you to look for under disk drives and see if its there and also it might be showing with a yellow sign next to it.....right click on the device and click on uninstall...after you unintall it unplug your device from the computer and check to usb has to be under MTP mode or auto....after you check the mode open up your windows media player1.gif click on tools, options and click under privacy...clear the history and caches...
After that go to the microsoft website and download the KB891122 and Media Transfer Protocol Porting Kit...

Just click on the link below...

a) for the porting kit

For the KB891122

Hope this helps
**Please raete accordingly..
Thank you

How to download on my mp3,have never done a download,it is a pearl rca

  • You will need USB cable .
  • It will be provided with your mp3 player.
  • Connect your RCA MP3 player to your computer with the USB cable that came with the player. Plug one end into the Opal player and plug the other end into your computer's USB port.
  • Open the Rca's USB flash drive. Click "Start." Click "My Computer." Click the "USB Mass Storage Drive."
  • Open another "My Computer" window, and locate the music that you wish to download onto your RCA MP3 player. Click "Start." Click "My Computer." Click "My Documents." Click "My Music."
  • Drag and drop the music files you wish to download onto your mp3 player's "Internal Storage" folder (for Windows Vista) or the "Media" folder (for Windows XP).

  • Enjoy the songs....

    Hope it will be helpful...

My amd athlon 64 windows vista computor will not reconize player

First, try connecting the player into another computer just to make sure that there's no problem with the player.

Now, if the problem is isolated with Windows Vista, all you have to do is to update the USB driver of your computer or enable the USB Legacy Support and the problem should be resolved.

By the way, you need to contact the computer manufacturer to assist you in enabling the USB Legacy Support.

    Have a great day!

My zen mozaic lx is not reading to my computer

okay, it is not reading because you need the cd it came with and download it onto your cpu.(it has to be the kind of disk port that comes out. if you have the disk port that you just put in, it wont work.) if you have a little computer, and no disk drive, then you have to buy a one that goes into usb.

Have a digital camera/mp3 player 44090/44091/44092/44093 have installed software but when we plug it in to usb slot doesnt register on comp. cannot transfer music etc. running windows vista please help...

I have fixed our problem! Hope this helps you out. I downloaded a manual for the 44090 model.
Make sure that you don't have it plugged into the usb port and the player is switched to mp3 mode. Open the software and then when it says to plug it in now, you need to turn the player into music mode. Press and hold for 3 to 4 seconds the centre power/play/pause button. It will start the red light flashing. Once the light is flashing it is in music mode. Plug in to the usb port and the computer should recognise it bringing up the install now button for the software. Click 'install now' and it should work.
I don't use the software to load songs I just use windows media player and once I had passed this install now bit media player recognised it instantly.
Everytime you want to listen to music you need to put the player into music mode by holding down that button till the red light flashes. Once music is loaded on it starts playing as soon as that red light starts flashing!
Good luck and I really hope this works out for you too.

My new Vista Home software does not recognise my mp3 when plugged into a usb port. I have run the small CD that came with player.

-- what is the brand and model number of your mp3?
-- have you check if your mp3 is compatible with windows vista?
-- have you tried installing it on a diff computer?

If you plug in the mp3 player then goto device manger via the control panel (hardware and sound) it will show up there as an uninstalled item. Righ click on it and select update driver and hopefully vista will search and find the apropiate driver for it.

Alternatively try the manufactures website for vista drivers.

Unfortunately not all hardware products are vista compatable yet :(

Help getting my cd to install

The product was manufactured before Vista came out, so the labelling was correct at the time it was manufactured.
